Thread: Kellen Winslow anyone???

    Kellen Winslow anyone???

Sources say Seahawks severing ties with KW2.

If he can block...SIGN THIS WASHED UP BEAST!!!

He's a willing blocker who is somewhat limited by his size/strength....but I'd be more than happy to see us acquire him as a receiving option. Mark needs all the weapons we can get him right now, and Kellen would be a welcome addition.

That said, I'm doubtful we have the necessary cap room, or the ability to lure him in to be a 1a/2 TE behind Keller....

Shame too, because his attitude was made for a Rex led team...he's a souljah.

we signed Reuland as a blocking TE.

so Winslow could be our 2nd option for pass-catching TE and in that role he's gotta be better than Cumberland, right?

Great pickup too. Another TE that was released because he could not block.

    +1

I totally agree. Even if he can't block he's still worth picking up considering we have no playmakers outside of the drama queen Holmes and Dropsy Keller - both hurt btdubs.

Can't block but he can catch. K2 had 72 catches for 763 yards receiving last year playing as TE on the Tampa Bay Bucs conservative offense.

    1. The original Dustin Keller has a hamstring injury.

    2. We have nothing at the WR position after Tone (who's hurt) and raw as sushi Stephen Hill.

If you don't think we need another receiver you have mastered the art of self-deception.

    Keller's hamstring is fine.

    We don't need another TE.

Congratulations you have mastered the art of self-deception.

Our line can't block, our OT's can't get help, our receivers cannot get open and yet people want to b*ch and complain and act like it's Rex's fault we can't score tds against 2nd and 3rd stringers.

    K. W. would be a nice pick up at this time.He commands attention from safeties which would open up our passing lanes.Makes too much sense.

You're saying Patrick Turner, Glass Schilens and Jeffrey Cumberland aren't already doing that? You must be psycho and have no right to criticize.

Winslow had more yards and catches than both Santonio and Plax did last season yet I'm stupid for suggesting we sign him.

Yes, because there is a concept of a salary cap, the fact that he's a veteran player who has been a cancer with pretty much every team he's been with. The fact that at this point in his career, the Jets have a player in Keller that can provide the same exact value, and by adding him, not only screws up the team's cap situation, it screws up the chemistry of the team because at present, Winslow's ability and value isn't worth replacing a player that can already do the job, ,is younger, is close with our QB, and HAS good chemistry and comraderie with Sanchez

It makes no sense pretty much at every level, that's why...

And most importantly, he has a name that everyone here recognizes.

Which is as good a reason as any.

No thanks. KW Jr. is a bum.

Nepotism is the only reason he's even still around
