Would you have fired tom Coughlin after his first three years as the Giants' coach? He had 6/10, 11/5 and 8/8 seasons. Never would have guessed that the next year he'd win the SB.

Of course their SB win counts and we would all trade it for any Jet wins in history. However the stats I posted are regular season and Rex has 1 more win in his tenure the coughlin does.

Coughlin is a great coach and even he was almost WRONGLY run out of town early as he grew with his young QB. We shouldnt make the same mistake

Other than you're a troll and everyone posts telling you just that or telling you to shut up or telling you to leave?

And as usual, and here, you jump into every one of these threads and spew the same nonsense over and over again, trying to get a response.

Again hammering home that you are a troll

Many people here would have called for his head.

Funny thing...in both SB years, we played the Jints. had we won...they miss the playoffs.

This is what im preaching. Rex has brought an excitement to the team that it has been lacking for years!!! We need a GM who knows football, i dont care about the contracts, Tanny just backloads everything.

Not if you can parse stats to make yourself look like you're elite.

I disagree, he has the potential to be among the top 1/3. He is a top 3 if not #1 D coach but he has made some serious judgement errors and doesn't seem to know if he should be involved with the O or not. As I said if he and tanny learns from their blunders they will be a good team if they repeat them we will never get to the top.

wasn't Bill Cowher the coach for something like 13 years before he won a super bowl?

Didn't he make the playoffs the first 6 years of his tenure?

The fact that people want him retained because he did something two years ago is beyond ridiculous.

Does Sooth pay you for all the increased posts you generate with your silly comments? I think you are one of those people who could get in an argument with yourself if you were left alone for too long.

Eric Mangini went 10-6, 4-12(due to injured qbs), the 9-7.

So if we can fire mangini coming off a winning season, why cant we can Rex if the team tanks this year?

How many playoff wins Mangini had during his Jets tenure? Don't worry I'll wait........

At least Rex has some clue how to get to a big game......

    And what is that?

Paying other teams to sit their starters so the Jets could back into the playoffs?

I don't think you want to go down the road of which team's HC paid people to do anything out of the ordinary.
I don't recall the Jets losing draft picks for anything Ryan has done.
