Obama Critics: Why not focus on real issues?

I am mystified why total bull crap seems to be the focus of nearly every critic including the Romney campaign. From the current work to welfare purposeful lie, to the the alleged anti small business slam of you didn't build it, to alleged death panels and the endless banshee shrieks of socialism, to the inane birther nonsense. This crap keeps getting doled out while real, potent issues are ignored.

Obama has plenty to actually criticize. His extension of the patriot act that guts basic civil rights, to drone kills includes collateral damage of innocents, to the Guantanamo still being opened. Could it be that the lying bull crap, introduced as a political tactic of the Republicans during the Clinton years, has become pathological and all they have left? Or is it because Romney and the Republcans don't really have anything to offer but a rehash of the disasterous Bush/Cheney policies and they need to distract?

The good news is Obama, a first for a Democratic Presidential candidate in my lifetime, has masterfully played offense. Something Republicans have always been better at and they have successfully kept Romney from getting his message out. They have masterfully kept the heat on and forced him to stay on the defensive. He who is on the defensive looses on election day, or so it seems. All signs at this point to Obama winning by a large electoral margin. (I wouldn't bet the farm in it but would place a small wager. Never underestimate Democrats ability to screw it up!) It also doesn't hurt that Romney is a weak candidate who came to the nomination bruised and battered following the one of the longest, ugliest, unintentionally hilarious and most revolting Republican primaries in my lifetime. It was obvious from the beginning he was the only one fit for a general election but he had to wade through the muck of Gingirch, Santorum, that ignorant, vile woman and her queenie, screamingly gay husband and the rest of those twits to get the crown.

So you want the critics to focus on "real issues", but praise Obama for spending most of his time bashing Romney instead of telling me all the "good" he's done over the past four years.

    Politics at its best . . .

The country is doing just fine. Only 96,000 jobs added in August. terrible. And, June and July were revised downward by 41,000 (what a surprise).
What exactly has Obama done to get another chance?
It's liek Sanchez sayinh at halftime. I know we haven't scored any points, I know I heve 3 Ints and two were pick sixes and I fumbled twice but I can get it done - I can win.
Obama is an abject failure. The economy is a wreck. No one is hiring. e wants more teachers, police and firemen. All service jobs. How about some manufacturing, stupid.

Real Issue: Workforce Participation in America is at it's lowest point, right now, since WWII, and the Fed right now is pondering further monetization of our debt (i.e. pending inflation and devaluation of our currency, savings and assets).

Real Issue: We have mor epoeple on Social Welfare, taking up more of our economy, that at any point in history.

Real Issue: We continue to Wage War and Conflict in multiple states, with 2/3 of our Afghan casualties occuring int he most recent 1/3 of our time in that Nation, with a McCain'esque "no end in sight" still ahead of us.

Real Issue: A good portion of our population fundamentally disagrees with the level of "spread it around" that one side is currently promoting.

Everything you say here is correct and more.
BUT, Obama and his cronies have pandered some much to so many that they are beholden. Out of work? No problem - welfare. No money for college? No problem - we'll pay for you. Don't worry about YOU paying taxes - we'll soak the rich. Can't afford mandated health insurance? NO problem - the government will subsidize you. On and on and on.
A country by, for and of the lazy.

How about a president that want to solve a debt and entitlement crisis by enacting a new entitlement and raising taxes? What logic makes him conclude that we can raise 1 trillion in new revenues by raising income taxes which today total under 1 trillion in total revenue? We would have to double rates across the board. That doesn't count the economic stagnation that the tax hikes would cause. In order to counter the diminished economic activity we would get from removing that capital from the system we would need to double the taxes again.

But lets focus on the REAL issues like free abortions for all!

That's what happens when our jobs go overseas and at the same time welfare is too easy to get.

I know how to fix this whole mess. Keep the illegal aliens and deport every frickin' lawyer!

I don't believe there has been one nation in the history of mankind that has taxed itself into prosperity.

Amen Brother Chesapeake! If you were running for office and your only platform position was deport all the lawyers I'd vote for you in a heartbeat.

I like Doggin and I happen to have wonderful friends that are lawyers as well. But as a whole they are pretty scummy.

    Say what?

Right now, the only thing the dems seem to think is important is gay marriage and abortion--- two things that 99% of the nation will never do or need.
