Ellis is a superior pass rusher. Pouha is a superior run stopper.

Pouha is going to get Wally Pipped.

Just cause you said it doesn't mean it's true.

Ellis is going to make us forget about Pouha. Pouha is getting Wally Pipped.

That spin move and tackle that Ellis made in the Eagles game was off the chain.

    Who is the 2nd?

Big matchup for Bills would've been C Eric Wood against beastly NT Sione Pouha, who's now ruled out. Wood ramping up from knee surgery.
Ellis is more of a pass rushing threat, so it's still going to be a big matchup for them (us). Hopefully they are breathing a sigh of relieve and overlooking Ellis' ability.

Is Tanny the only GM in the league that puts together weekly game plans?

And why would he make a comment like that on a national radio show?

In fairness, I think Pouha is much more of a technician, he does everything correctly. But Ellis' development has been amazing to watch. Last year his technique was poor. This year his pad level has improved and he is using his hands. Dunbar has done a great job with him.

As Parcells once told Curtis Martin: "you never want to come out of te huddle, because you never know who's going to go IN the huddle."

It appears some Jets fans still don't realize that Pouha is an elite NT. He's an immovable object against the run, it's really pretty amazing.

Luckily for us, Pettine is already on the record (from several months ago) that we were going to play very little 3-4 in the divisional games this year. We're going to 4-3 and 46 against the Phins, Pats, and Bills to give them a different look, while leaving most of the 3-4 fronts for the non-divisional games.

Paraphrasing Pettine: "We might not run any 3-4 against our divisional opponents this year."

    Totally agree.

Tannenbaum has no business saying anything like that.

To me, even Rex shouldn't be saying something like that. That's like giving away a portion of the gameplan. This isn't the preseason anymore.

    Ridiculous.

The issue is not how often Tebow is used, it's when he's used.

    Ellis > Pouha.
Eliis had one good game in the preseason. Lets cut every nose tackle we have and just roll with him. Brilliant.

Trust me. I am not underestimating Pouha. He is terrific. He plays at a Pro Bowl level.

I just think that Ellis is a rising start. And he is going to shine as he gets more experience.

Please find me where someone posted or suggested that.

    Thanks.

I think so. He was not waived IIRC.

    That's not the point.

The point is Tanny never should have said something that specific.

He should have said: "Yea, we've been working on a few different things with Tim, let's see how it plays out on Sunday."
