Just got an invitation to a BBQ. Time for some rare beefsteaks with onions and french fries. And of course, we eat 'em with mayonnaise.

getting ready to fire up the smoker for ribs and chicken. only problem is I wish i was up north in teh chill rather than florida sweating my balls off. nothing like working that smoker in the cool clean crisp fall air.

Yea, working a smoker when it's blazing hot sucks. Fortunately the dry heat is much better even when it's 100 out. Today should be perfect, it's 50 out not, should be up to 90 by noon

Trying to go a bit lighter this year.

    1. Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese.
    2. Tzatziki with a crudité
    3. Smoke sausage chili on four hour simmer.

Some friends coming over to kick off the season...

On the grill: marinated skirt steaks and bbq wings
Also have a rigatoni, broccoli and grilled chicken dish with garlic and olive oil
And we have an awesome bruschetta made w/fresh mozzarella and home-grown tomatoes and basil.

    And beer. Lots of beer.
