Ah, correct. I was looking at regular season TDs.

And Vinny Testaverde was probably the best QB we've had in over a decade. But I wouldn't want him or Braylon back right now. It's important to know when guys are done. 20 catches and 0 regular season TDs since 2009 when Mark Brunnell threw him a TD pass for the Jets....Tannenbaum made the right call on Braylon IMO.

As Bill Walsh used to say, better to let a guy go a year too early than a year too late. In retrospect, we let Braylon go at exactly the right time.
Not that I'm saying we should bring him back, but I'm pretty sure he was seen dragging 2 Patsie defenders into the end zone in a 2010 divisional playoff game at New England...

Oh, but it was 2010 season vs Bills, not '09.

I'm a Braylon guy, but his knee is shot. Watch him play. The athleticism is gone -- no speed or leaping ability anymore.

I would imagine Tannenbaum knew this.

the fact that this is still up for discussion tells you all you need to know about the Jets roster.

Also, Keller is still hurt, but going to play, and Hill is out.

What's up for discussion, how some people can't move on going on 2 seasons?

    I don't know.

Ask the guy who decided to bump this thread for no apparent reason 2 weeks after it had died.

It's cool. I love a good debate! lol

And I was as big a Braylon fan as anyone. If we could get 2009 Braylon Edwards back with the Jets I'd be 110% onboard. But I firmly believe, looking at what Edwards has done since leaving the Jets two seasons ago, that the Jets made the right decision. 20 catches and 0 TDs since departing NY! I think we were wise to move on from him.

But again, when he was here he was stellar, a true difference maker. From the minute he started his first game in green and had that sideline catch for a TD in Miami to the epic win in New England when he dragged defenders into the endzone, he was great here! His light was bright but burnt out quickly.

Let's remember the good times and realize that was his peak.

And if the Jets really wanted him back now I'm sure a low round draft pick could pry a #4 WR off of Seattle's roster.
