    Thoughts on Ellis?

I thought he held his own ... nice push in the pocket, got to ball carriers, etc. But I didn't get to watch him consistently throughout the game, so I'm curious what others' impressions were?

He got tired in the second half. Got pushed around
. Thus beat against the run. He's gonna be a beast ... Just not there .... Yet.

He didn't look like Kris Jenkins this time around. I thought he played well for the 1st 3 quarters. Sione Pouha well, NOT Kris Jenkins well. Just like everybody else on the defense, he got pushed around in the 4th quarter.

I think he's going to be a nice player for us for a long time. He just needs to work on his stamina and being effective for 60 minutes.

He looked okay, definitely not as dominant as in the preseason. Proved how valuable Pouha is to have, despite what some morons around here say.

    I'd second this.

He may be a great player someday, and maybe even someday soon. But anyone that thinks he is better than a healthy Pouha right now doesn't know what the hell they are talking about.

I'm just excited for the day when Ellis is the second best DT on the line. Load up on that d line baby

Tough to evaluate him in this sort of game where the offense is in shotgun most of the time.
Ellis is good, but still young and learning. Pouha is in his prime and we're better off with him in there.
