Hope and concern : New York Jets

The New York Jets looked great in their 48-28 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.Here is a reason to be hopeful and concerned about the Jets in Week 2 :

    Reason for hope : Momentum

The Jets suddenly have momentum and confidence heading after a complete performance against the Bills. New York got points on offense, defense and special teams in the game. The Jets are feeling good and erased a lot of pressure by getting in the win column. Quarterback Mark Sanchez playing well also puts a stop to the Tim Tebow drama for a while. This is not a must-win game for the Jets. They can play loose and bring their best without worry to Pittsburgh.

    Reason for concern : Steelers

This is a big game for the Steelers (0-1). They are a playoff contender that will be desperate not to fall to 0-2. Pittsburgh is a prideful, veteran team that will present a much stiffer challenge to the Jets. The Steelers have an elite quarterback, various receivers and a very good defense. The Jets will not be able to bully the Steelers like they did the Bills. Pittsburgh will be favored to get back to .500. The Jets could make an even bigger statement if they win this game in Week 2.

That's it right there. I Jets victory IN Pittsburgh would be an awesome statement to make.

I hope we win for my daughters sake, she's catching all kinds of crap at school from Steeler fans.

...Sunday at Heinz Field against the New York Jets, he will get even more opportunities."I thought Jonathan Dwyer provided a spark play and represented himself well and will probably get an increased opportunity because of it," coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday.

~ ~ 5. Backfield decisions for Mike Tomlin. With Steelers halfback Rashard Mendenhall expected to be inactive again this week against the Jets, Tomlin has to decide whether to stay with Isaac Redman or go to Jonathan Dwyer as the starter. If he were healthy, Redman would start, but a hip injury might slow him down for a while. Dwyer averaged 4.8 yards per carry in Sunday’s loss to Denver and might get a chance to do more this week.
