Per jake Steinberg. Sapp to test his ankle this week. If its good to go he'll be activated to 53 man

FWIW. Jake said last week Sapp would be resigned. Jets wanted his ankle to heal up

Doesn't matter if Turner isn't healthy either.

Turner got hurt early in the Week 1 game, I'm guessing it'll come out soon enough he got an injury settlement.

    That makes sense...

But still curious about Landolt still being on active 53 and not on the PS if Sparano wants to hold on to him.

This could be a great pick up.
    This guy can play.

I think the Jets should bring in another RB. I've been patient with Greene but at this point I don't think he'll get any better. Hope I'm wrong.

Maybe they are looking at Gaffney, he is healthy now and would be good depth at the WR position.

They're probably want to wait till after this week to put him on the PS thinking teams may not claim him since it's after week 2. Sapp getting activated may also be a secondary reason..Just guessing

His speed (or lack of) really limits his upside in the league. He's just not an NFL caliber player IMO. He would never be anything more than a #4 on a team with poor depth at WR.

Jets do not need any RB outside of drafting one next year.

No one out there is better than Powell.

    Give him a shot.

At best hes as you put it like a black Joe Jurivicious (sp?)
Yeah, the only thing he had going was that he had a rapport with Sanchez whilst every other WR with any experience was hurt.

And people wondered why we didn't score any TDs in the preseason....it might have had to do with the fact that Patrick F'n Turner was our go to WR.

Not really, Hightower is like a career 3.9 ypc guy

His flash in the pan is certainly over. Not to mention that he is most likely still hurt.

    Give Powell a shot.

Theres no point to sign a vet RB with so little upside.

    I agree.

Hightower is the definition of JAG. Little to no upside with him and there is absolutely no reason to sign him unless someone gets hurt.

ManishMehta: There is a good chance that WR Patrick Turner, who was waived today, will be back with team on near future.

Damn it. Beat me to it.

But it is a distinct possibility.
