Poo poo it all you want, but it definitely has an effect.

This team is easily better than 2010.
Offensively 2010 was a much better team.

LOL at hill looking better than Braylon after one game. 2010 we were a ground a pound team with a great Run blocking O-line. Put 2013 sanchez on the 2010 roster and we win the superbowl.

That says it all right there.
Yep, they each did more in this past game than bray or Cotch did in any game in 2010. Hill and Kerley are faster and more dynamic. Hill might drop some passes but he runs better routes aleeady, and we all know about Braylon's drops. Cotchery was a good Jet, but his abilities were limited and actually had a bunch of drops in 2010. He never excelled in the slot like we all thought he would. think your just going by names. Neither Braylon or Cotch could get on the field for their new teams last year, and Braylon already cost the Seahawks a game with a big drop.

LOL all you want, but I'm pretty confident that we will all see that Hill and Kerley will be a better WR/slot combo than Braylon and Cotchery.

Everyone keeps talking about the O-Line, but te only difference is Howard. Yeah, Woody was great, but he also missed a bunch of games that year, and Howard looks like the real deal. I know it's been 1 real game, but if you watch his game film from this week and in the preseason, he looks like the real deal, not only pass blocking, but in the running game as well.

You are reaching in this thread. Nobody really knows what this Jets team is at this point and so "reasonable people" have no real way to assert with any confidence whether or not it will be better than the 2010 team or not. It is not like the 2010 team went 18-1 or anything

I think the defensive line and the secondary are both clearly better than their 2010 counterparts. The linebackers are probably a wash so overall the defense should be improved. Possibly even much improved depending on whether or not the older position players manage to stay healthy (Landry, Scott, Bell and Pace).

Offensively LT was solid but basically "meh" when he was here and the rest of the running backs are a bunch of jags now just as they were then. This current offensive line has not shown that they can run block worth a damn so we took a step back there just as we did with the WRs. I reserve the right to amend that assessment of the WRs if Hill continues to impress and/or Kerley does the same.

On the other hand I think Sanchez is going to be somewhere between a little bit and a lot better and QB is the most important position on the team followed by OC in my opinion. How can he not be better? I think we have seen enough already to feel confident that this is a different #6. Removing Schotty is an absolutely HUGE plus for this offense. Overall, I grade the offense as being pretty much the same level as 2010 albeit for different reasons and with the right to reassess if any of our younger guys come on stronger than I am assuming right here.

To sum up it is not unreasonable to think that this Jets team will be better than the 2010 edition. Certainly it is an arguable point and not the flat out <Assertion> <case closed> that you are making it out to be in this thread.
