I think it depends on how productive he is in the new offense. Either way I see him measuring the FA market since the Jets will not overpay for Keller..

He is the most replaceable "big name" Jet. I have zero interest in giving him a big contract after this season.
I would prefer to get a pick in exchange for his "big name"

Otherwise if he walks without us getting compensated, i think that is a big mistake.

We would prob get a 4th or 5th round supplemental pick if he walks in FA

Dustin Keller (hamstring) was held out of practice again on Friday.
Keller took a backseat to blocking specialist Jeff Cumberland in Week 1, and it looks like he's going to sit out the entire game versus the Steelers after a mid-week setback. Fantasy owners need to find a fill-in starter for Week 2.

    Is Mehta serious?

    Potential of a compensatory pick...

Im pretty sure that was Roto adding, albeit mistakenly to Mehta's original report.

That would be paramount but considering he's probably out Sunday he only has 5 weeks to show what he has before week 8. Which teams need a TD?

Oh the drama... so Rex honestly wants us to believe that Revis has been failing his concussion tests, which consist of answering simple questions, testing balance, vision, etc, yet they are letting him run around the field and lift weights? Doesn't add up.

Or he didn't take it yet. Why have him potentially fail a test when he can simply take it once on Friday when he's had the most time to recover?

Of course, none of us really know what is involved in these tests.

He hasn't taken them yet. Here are normal protocols for post concussion testing:

    Step-wise return to play
No activity - rest until asymptomatic
    Light aerobic exercise
    Sport-specific training
    Non-contact drills
Full-contact drills <------------We're here right now.
    Game play

I'm looking for the NFL protocols, but the above is standard for most. I'm not sure what the actual "test" entails.

While I wouldn't be happy with the points against (or the final outcome), I'd sign up for 20 hard-earned points against a decent defense.

And a side note on Cumberland -- let's just put him out there for quick screens over the middle, or any other quick hit that doesn't require much blocking. Yes, teams will start to connect the dots when he's on the field, but hopefully we could get away with it Sunday and have Keller back the following week . . .

Bill Polian just said on Sirius that "You have to be medically cleared from a concussion in order to be out on the field, with a helmet, running drills... unless the NFL protocol has changed."

So like I said, this has all been a #smokescreen.

Revis is playing. Keller is expendable.
