Post New Story: Darrelle Revis Out For Sunday's Game

Florham Park, N.J. - After the way the Jets stomped the Bills, Jets fans were feeling pretty confident about their chances to go into Pittsburgh and come away with a win to start the season 2-0. It's certainly still possible the Jets could pull out a victory but you'd have to think their chances decrease dramatically with the news that All-World corner Darrelle Revis will not play.

Revis still hasn't been cleared by the doctor's, even though he was on the practice field today, the team doctors clearly aren't comfortable with clearing him to play against the Steelers. Concussions are tricky...

Well, I suppose we're going to have to make Pittsburgh look even sillier by beating them without our best player.

Good luck, Mark. Good luck, Jets.

Just for the non-medical people out there... For a mild concussion, ie no loss of consciosness for any length of time, but with symptoms such as headache, nausea or vomiting, dizziness, blurred vision, etc...

Person should be devoid of any symptoms for 1 week before returning to play. ie if head injury is on Sunday and headache and nausea persists until Wednesday and first day symtpom free on Thursday, he will be cleared for play next Thursday when symptoms are gone for 1 week.

If there is a loss of consciousness, the time knocked out is into consideration and there is a whole new set of regulations.
