"Head first, high velocity, no regrets,"

God I love this man. Quickly becoming a favorite on this team. I hope he can stay healthy the whole season.

LaRon Landry is known for making his presence felt on the field -- off the field, the New York Jets safety has taken a few shots at those who he feels have wronged or disrespected him.

A list that includes the Washington Redskins doctors, coach Mike Shanahan and New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

    Schein: Still skeptical about Jets?
Mark Sanchez and the Jets proved critics wrong in Week 1 win. Can they do it again? Adam Schein takes a look. More ...
Landry suffered season-ending Achilles injuries in both the 2010 and 2011 seasons with the Redskins. However, while the team's doctors suggested he needed surgery, the Landry opted for an alternative method.

"That's why they have great doctors and they have OK doctors, great trainers and OK trainers," Landry told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. "(The Redskins) had people who just had the job title, but not the passion for their job. ... I don't respect the training staff at all. I don't respect the coaches over there. I don't respect (Shanahan)."

But the Redskins weren't the only ones on the receiving end of Landry's barbs, he also shared his feelings about his free-agent visit with the New England Patriots this offseason.

"(Belichick) wasn't even there," Landry said. "So that was a no-brainer. I should have never taken that visit. I was like, 'Damn, if you're going to visit, the head coach (should be) there.' I felt, 'OK, that's a slap in the face.'"

Landry then joined the Jets and began training camp on the physically unable to perform list before he was activated in July.

The tattooed bruiser has been a welcome addition to Mike Pettine's defense where Landry's style of intimidation is appreciated.

"Head first, high velocity, no regrets," Landry said.

    I love this guy!
    He is the anti-Goodell.
Might not be able to see men play this way for much longer the way the league is moving, so I'm certainly going to enjoy him while I can.

A little more motivation for Landry when we play the cheating-ass Pats. I hope he takes Brady's head off on a blitz. The disrespect Belicheat showed Landry is another example how much of a scumbag Belicheat is.

Judging by the words that he had to say about Belichick, it looks like Landry is bitter about it. I think he wanted to play here.

I know from listening to an interview of Rodney Harrison's experience on his visit here, that the Pats don't exactly roll out the red carpet for FAs.

Does LaRon Landry strike fear in WRs? Pettine: "It looks like they’re wearing invisible fence collars when going across middle of field."
