Thread: Shonn Greene - Seen enough?

  1. #21
I'd ;like to see more of Powell. Greene isn't fooling or scaring anyone

  2. #22
Rex seems way too scared to play the younger guys... McKnight and Powell both need to get more touches than Greene...

Coples was on the sidelines way too much while Ben was wandering around in the pocket for 5-8 seconds every time he dropped back...

Some of the personnel moves this team makes just leave you scratching your head...there's no rhyme or reason

  3. #23
once he went down we saw nothing from the running game. rb a position that really worries me with this team along with te and wr. ughhh

  4. #24
Greene gets up hurt after every single physical hit...

He just can't hold up to his style of running.

Powell is a better runner and RB should definitely be a position we add to in the offseason. Just need a bigger type to go with Powell, who looks very good.

Athleticism at LB and outside pass rusher are still the biggest needs though.

All I know is that the odd time our line does open up a nice hole after the 5 yard run I say to myself. "A guy with real burst and speed would have made that a 30 yarder.'

Our replacement RB this year for Greene is now on the Rams' active roster wearing #42- Terence Ganaway

Green looks like what we exactly expected.

It's still too early (in the season) to start playing for "next year", so no, I don;t want him outright replaced.

I do, though, want to see the ball spread around, with Powell and McKnight and Tebow all getting more carries. The more we spread the ball around, the better our ruunning game will be IMO, as each brings a different talent/skillset to the party.

Frankly, I am baffled by the use of Tebow yesterday. A perfect opportunity to use him to bolster the running game here and there, and we use him....three snaps in a row, then nothing?

Thats not Tebow fail, that is O-Co fail IMO. Hopefully they will figure out how to use Tebow and teh Wildcat more fluidly and regularly, like we used to with previous Wildcat play in NY, and as Miami did with their cadre of players.

The fear (I've heard it mentioned alot) is that Rex is indeed a "Rex's Guys Play" kinda coach, meaning Greene gets the carries, period, cause he's a "Rex's Guy". Who knows tbh, but I hope thats not the case.

Greene's done and Powell's got a no 3rd gear. This is not going to end well. Actually, come to think of it, we've invested 4 draft picks in as many years at RB and they've all stunk. Crap. sidewalk trash. I suppose you could argue that McKnight still has some upside but if he was worth his weight corn, he'd have shown it by now.

A lot more red plays for Greene v Powell. Add in the fact that Powell can pass protect and catch the ball...it should be a no brainer..

  13. #33
Come on he's the best at running into our own lineman. He's simply the best.

  14. #34
I've seen enough. He's not a #1 and doesn't have the breakaway speed nor the athletic moves to be an every down back. He just tries to punish the first tackler he sees. I like it but when you're always injured it kind of defeats the purpose. He should be gone after this year. And for the life of me I don't understand why Mcknight doesn't get more carries on 1st and 2nd down. If's he's not a 3rd down back fine but I think Sanchez could use Mcknight more than Greene.

Some of the Powell red plays were during the garbage plays at the end of the second quarter. Discount those, he looked good.

We were too busy drafting lineman from Haiti and wasting 1st rounders on Boise State SMALL UNPROVEN CB's with our REAL picks.

If our OL opens up holes for Greene he'd do what he does best which is running downhill. He can get tough yards for us. Our OL needs to block. It doesn't matter who's back there.

His runs to the outside were laughable, not even a remote possibility that he was going to beat someone and make any significant gain. The people in the bar I was at were mocking him
