He was never an option in round 1....it was coples jones or ingram. And he would have never fell to us in round 2. You complaining about us drafting davis instead of upshaw doesn't even make any sense

The Jets needed a linebacker. They passed on the 4 best linebackers in the draft and then took Davis in the third round. That doesn't make sense to me. If it was a need pick, why wait until the talent pool gets shallow?

Atlanta also has a defense that is all about speed. They have 3 excellent corners (though Grimes is hurt right now) and extremely athletic linebackers. They actually have almost no pass rush to speak of, even with Abraham.

I think they hired Mike Nolan this year, which would explain all of the different look they're showing.
In all fairness we have lost our share with REVIS in the lineup too. The Steelers always find a way or nearly always find a way!

Yes beyond that, I think Rex is coaching a bit scared in that he has little faith in his offense to offset a high risk defense. In other words, you send everyone an you leave yourself open to the big play--one which the Jets might not be able to respond too.

Welll Pitts was missing two of their super star defensive players--

Jets need a lot--LB in my mind being the most important. Rather then draft ot these needs, they go for Coples.

    or Ducasse.

When the drafts play out...we'll see MANY LB's from round 4 and later that we pass on.

Easy? NO...but we dont do a good job drafting.

That was the rap against PIT and why we were going to slaughter that pig.

I don't care that they don't fit the 3-4 scheme,
And yet Davis sits, unable to help.

You remember Rex's first year? We had guys walking around the line of scrimmage, 6 guys on the LOS, just begging the center to snap the ball. Now? Just dusty crooked fingers in the dirt.
I know what you mean; those looks we gave the Patriots from Mangini and Sutton. I'm with you.

Who can answer this question? Where is our improv?
