    PLEASE CUT ERIC SMITH

Do not even let him on the plane after the game.

Nothing good happens when he is on the field.

I think we have all seen enough.

He's not going anywhere. Rex loves him. He's smart and slow. One of Rex's boys. What a POS!!!! Smith and Rex.

Both of the PF calls against him were blown calls. The roughing the kicker call was atrocious. The defenseless receiver call was borderline at best.

I agree. I don't even think he's that bad honestly, but he's totally entered "Wayne Hunter bad mojo" territory. Every time he's out there something terrible happens.

You guys, like the jets front office realize these things a year to two years too late. He has been a suckfest jag for the last 3 years. This thread should have been made 2 years ago.

LOL. It was. Maybe not 2 years ago, but it was. Trust me.

this thread was made 2 years ago, many times, as well as last year, many times. He sucks, but the two calls against him today were absolute BS.

I'll say it again, we made a mistake letting Jim Leonhard walk.

Scott and Pace have been exposed as aging players with no upside.

Maybe he can be used as an LB in obvious passing situations. While he is terribly slow for a safety, he's got decent speed for a linebacker.

eric smith was horrible today i agree cutting him might not be a bad idea. he almost cost us the game him and kyle wilson.

Eric Smith is Rex's boy---he is actually irrelevant--at best a bad special teams player.

I have no idea why they keep him around. He's a terrible football player.

But they aren't going to cut him because he's one of "Westy's guys" as if that actually matters. As if they can't find another scrub or backup to run down kicks (or into the kicker) every week.

Get him out of here already. There are not too many things Jets related I feel this strongly about.
