I'm not so sure I agree that is was always there. If it was, you would have at least seen flashes of it last season. I didn't see any.

Either it was last season, I don't care. I just like what I'm seeing between Sanchez and Holmes right now. This could be a very good thing for both of them. Keller being gone has forced those two to work better with each other, to work harder.

And I agree with you. When Keller comes back, please Sanchez DO NOT desert Holmes. Keep things going with him and get on with using Keller. They are your two best weapons. Use them and you may get to keep your job.

He waited till the 2nd half to start playing. Rex must have tore him a new one because all the sudden Holmes was catching the ball.

He played lazy in the 1st half. We'll see. I still hate his stupid face regardless.

I agree with you and SG 3. He said the same thing!

Hopefully we get Keller back next week so we will have two legit threats -

Holmes is small, slow, runs half-hearted routes.

Has no leap or reach; doesn't play big for his size.

Has tiny strike zone; requires pinpoint accurate passes.

His diva ghettotude will unravel the team again; just a question of when.

All true, but he was pretty good today.

I can't stand it when he catches the ball for a first down and he holds the football in a first down pose! I will give him credit for playing lights out today!

Holmes was the best player on the field today. However, as others have said, there is still plenty of room to pick up his game. Still has drops. Cant have that when you are the only NFL receiver on the roster.

I know they didn't play well, but isn't it a positive when you get a road win in a division game?

    Holmes did good today.

But seriously. Knock off the ball dropping 1st down crap. It was cool in year 1. Now it just looks dumb. Find a new shtick, Tone. Head to the Hamper for help. We're chock full of ideas!!

I'll settle for "Knock off the ball dropping."

At this rate we might have to give Clifford Franklin a call.

    Played well.

Still is a douche, but it is a step in the right direction I guess.

I have an idea for a good TD/1st Down "ritual" that up to Tone's style.

Instead of dropping the ball at the feet of the Ref and making him pick it up like an unconsiderate doosh...pretend the ball is a bottle of Hennesey, take a sip and pretend the put the cap back on and hand it to the Ref like a sir....

as opposed to looking like a hole....

    it might work.

oh yes he did. he still begged a LOT and he definitely did the first down celebration plenty of times when we were losing. but i did notice him NOT do it a few times and i was impressed by his increase of maturity for a moment.

He picked a good time to up his game, but one day doesn't make a summer. He needs to do it consistently. Keller can't get on the field quick enough and Hill has to toughen up too and stay focussed. He's leaving big plays and td's on the field
