I agree that inexerience is no excuse for the drops. But maybe just maybe we give the guy more than 3 games before labeling him a bust? But you guys are probably right, it'd be better if we just cut our losses now and release Hill and Coples, they've obviously reached their ceilings and there's nothing more we can get out of them. Let's go sign TO and bring Haynesworth in for a look.

Frustrating comment. IT'S WEEK THREE!! So now the receivers coach sucks because he hasn't changed Hill's playing style in two weeks?!!

Give the guy time. He will produce this year.

BTW, every d back has been holding and harrasing the Jets' WR this year with no calls unless the ball was thrown there. Hill doesn't know yet how to play against that type of coverage. Give it time, or is a few weeks too much to ask?

Once the regular refs come back Hill's production goes up.

People seem to forget that Demaryius Thomas comes from the same system and it has taken him awhile to settle in, but he has.

Hill has bad hands and that's very evident. Lal has to put in some extra work with this kid...make him catch 300 balls a day, he'll get it

The comments here are ridiculous. He dropped balls in traffic because he is not playing physical. He'll learn!
Your user name and attitude has no place on this board!

Reading the whining screaming b1tching and moaning today from the "OFFICIAL REXTILLEON/COPERNICUS SOJF DELEGATION"....

an unknowing reader would be certain that the Jets are 0-3 on the sure road to 0-16.

Certainly not in first place in their division

This is what we signed up for with Stephen Hill... if he had good hands he would've been a top 10 draft pick.

And if all we read was you...you would certainly think we won a SB in at least the last 42 years. just sayin...we have issues in management. denying it or complaining about it are posters rights.

We need a football man in Tannys spot...not a CPA.

+1 Plus I think every reasonable poster would've signed up for 500yds and 10 tds at the beginning of the season. That's his pace now, with some natural acclimation to the differences in the pro game, that could even increase. I think when they get the real refs back it should help him as well, in that the CBs won't be mugging WRs as much.

No way. You want old, slow receivers who can't get open? The Jets WRs' biggest concern is the inability to get open, so the solution is to add another WR who can't get open?

plax because of his height and the way he goes up for the ball gets open. this offense needs weapons.

Plax was useless between the 20s, and that is where the Jets need the help.

I agree, I think there is a huge over-reaction. The balls he dropped (mostly) were tight coverage catches and he's getting pushed around, you have to learn to catch the ball in tight coverages...

but it's NOT a lock he'll learn. He may learn, he may not...Not time to give up on him but there is certailny reason for concern

I thought the biggest concern was they drop too many balls?

They must be getting open if they drop so many passes?

    Fans in a nutshell.

When in doubt, demand we sign the biggest name you can think of, regardless of their actual abillity level at current.

Hey, I hear Jerry Rice and Joe Mantana are BOTH currently unsigned, lets get those beasts!
