The defense is hereby half as good as it used to be. I think some people have taken Revis for granted. Be prepared for Andre Johnson to destroy us when we play them. With Revis, 2 catches 22 yards. Without 8 catches for 125 yards and two tds.

    New York Jets ‏@nyjets #RL
Jets HC Rex Ryan has just announced that CB Darrelle Revis has an ACL tear and will require surgery.

    Chris Nimbley ‏@Cnimbley
Rex says he just got Revis news 5 minutes ago, says he wants to sit down w/ Revis before deciding to put him on IR

Sad. Hate to see a great player go down like that.

Hopefully he can come back at his elite level because the prospect for a CB returning to prior form after an ACL tear is not good.

I think they are going to make a trade before than. Maybe with Philly for one of their 2 CBs.

Well we spent a #1 pick on Wilson. Time for him to play like it.

They should have Wilson watch videos of owls to learn how to turn his head around.

The Jets defense is going to slip from around 17th to around 22nd now.

This not only hurts the Jets but it also hurts Revis in his contract situation.

No chance that he holds out now for a new deal.

Exactly. Time for Cro to be the #1 CB, and Wilson to live up to his draft status.

None of it will matter if the D-Line doesn't play better though.

Lol - ah - you brighten my day

Btw - does the Revis injury give the FO an excuse to try and make some other changes to the team??

This team is going to need to score points now. And control games with the run more [if that is in any way possible] . . .

Rex, "We drafted Wilson to be a #2 corner".

LOL to everyone who used to argue with me about that.

That might have been true 10 years ago but not now. He'll be back in top form. Tough break but this is not the end for him.

Exactly... This isn't medicine from 20 years ago. ACL surgery is an oil change nowadays. Just a 9 month oil change.

We'll see what we really have in Wilson now.
