No thanks, he has a ton of mileage on him.

We have a huge need at the position, but I'd rather invest a high draft pick on a running back who is young and has little wear and tear.

Well, i may be in the minority, but im with ya FlagMan.

    Assuming the price is right.

MJD was recently a hold out. The situation has not changed, he still wants a new contract.

I dont believe for a second that MJD is not a trade option. The jaguars may want to get value for him before he holds out again.

MJD would open up not only the running game, but take a substantial load off of Sanchez.

Besides our first round picks are not really setting the league on fire....
Jags used a pick they wouldn't part with for Tebow on a punter. They're smart. They aren't trading MJD for a 2nd rounder.

    Bingo!

Tebow and a bag of rocks would get MJD here...and both sides would be getting a bad deal.

Whoa! He's good but I'm not sure his future offspring would contribute right away.

Why do people think the Jags want Tebow? They could have had him, all they needed to do was send DEN a 3rd round pick. They refused, then used that same pick on a PUNTER! They felt a punter would have more of an impact on their team than Tebow. They're probably right.

    Not happening.

Much more realistic is the Jets trading a 4th round pick for Legarrette Blount.

Jags' interest in Tebow was meh to say the least. They actually showed more confidence in Blaine Gabbert coming off that bad rookie season then we did in Sanchez after two playoff runs and throwing 26 td passes.

Woody was the only NFL Owner even remotely interested in Teblow.

No thanks. If the Texans bench Tate, then that's a much better trade.

Tate's had ball security issues but he's very talented.

Tate for Greene would be a great trade for the Jets and could possibly be exactly what both backs need to excel. Greene is a good complement for Foster's running style. Tate and Powell could potentially be a very productive tandem.

    Of course, I don't think:

    A) Our running game has been that bad, honestly. Pittsburgh and Miami both have excellent run defenses. Casey Hampton and that Starks dude on Miami are two of the top 5 NT's in football.

    B) I think Tebow should stop being considered a QB and be put into more situations as an H-Back, fullback, and running back.

Tate would be a nice pickup. Always seems to put up yards when Foster is out.

Much like the Pats 'd'. 500 yards to the Ravens after drafting 6 picks on their 'd' in the draft. BTW, did Jones and Hightower play on Sunday Night?

how does he have a ton of miles on him??

how first 3 seasons he had less than 200 touches per year-- the last 3 seasons are his only with 300+ touches... miles? i don't think so- if anything he's got a pair of the freshest legs in football.

btw, Shonn Greene (i love him) is also 27 years old.

MJD is going to be the highest paid RB in football next year.

LOL...Why would the Texans ever agree to that trade??? Seriously. That makes ZERO sense for the Texans. The Texans love Tate as a back up to Foster. Just silly.
