Davis has never had a good qb his entire career. Unlike Gronk who has Brady and Graham who has Brees. Plus he can also block, again unlike Graham.

Ironic thing is Vernon Davis was considered a bust his first several years in the league with Alex Smith scrubbing it up as his qb and Mike Martz as the OC who never uses the Tight End.

I'm glad Vernon Davis is getting the props he deserves. Not only is he an excellent playmaker who is a huge matchup problem for any defense with his size/speed combo he's also an excellent blocker unlike the Gates, Grahams and Hernandez who are glorified WR's.

Pray to Jesus that Eric Smith doesn't ever cover Davis on Sunday.

I agree but SF has no clue on how to use him.

Davis is an excellent blocker as well, rare for a quick, pass-catching tight end.

Rex is great. BB isn't half the coach he is. Better?
I seriously freaking love it when this dude posts. He is a "I'm gonna take my ball and go home" type guy. I chuckle almost everytime.
