    Jets sign CB Berry.

    Per schefter's twitter.

I like it. At least he'll help with some upside. 2 yr contract.

Good move. Talented player, but the Jets need to keep him on a short leash. None of the Rex cuddly stuff, let this guy know he is on his last chance and will be cut if he screws up again off the field.

I'm sure he is too - he is also better than Kyle "where is the ball?" Wilson.

He is immediately our #2 CB.

Obviously you would prefer to not have to sign guys like him but we are in shambles on defense.

Since you know the Jets so well, who are the other "police line up screw ups" that you are talking about? Having 8 kids isn't a crime, and besides that we have one guy who was busted for pot. Who else did we bring in with a rap sheet? I'm sure you can tell me since you're insinuating this team is made up of bad guys and convicts as per your "longest yard" reference.

I agree that his coverage was terrible and he was constantly getting beat deep but to say it was one of the worst performances is over stating it a bit. Especially considering WR's only made 2 catches on him for 15 yards. It was definitely one of the luckiest performances though. Its another example of statistics not telling the whole story.

The most annoying thing was Wilson beating his chest in self-congratulation when, having been beaten like a drum on at least 2 deep patterns, Smith somehow managed to miss the wide-open receiver on both occasions. You were very lucky, Kyle...a reasonably accurate QB would have torched you for at least 2 long TDs yesterday.

Nice work Jets. All the guys we traded for quit yesterday, and your draft picks are atrocious, so go sign a two year contract with a possible felon. I'm sure Rex will coach his character up.

Did you see that jacka$$ in the receivers faces after they dropped a few passes - like he had anyhting to do with that. He was beaten like a rented mule on each pass.

Our 1st round pick from bumfukk state? Followed by VLAD from cerebral U, Joe McNight and John "nobody else would draft" me Connor?

The 2010 draft is a PERFECT example of our draft ability.

You're absolutely right. I'd prefer to have choir boys on my team who get burned constantly.

Looked at 200 of Aaron Berry 2011 snaps for @RossTuckerNFL show this summer. Talented CB. Wouldn't surprise if he started for #Jets by Wk 6.

Yes - this. Bad from every technical standpoint.

AND to top it off - unbelievably bad from a character standpoint. To wag your finger like you are up by 14 and didn't just get burnt AGAIN????

This is on Rex. How do the other players feel when they see this b.s. tolerated, for a guy who has done zero in the game and zero in his career?? They feel - quite rightly - that it's every man for himself, that there is no accountability any more.

If you look at some of those tackles in the late 3rd and 4th. It's our D - not gassed - but just playing like the game is over, not wanting to risk anything.

Terrrrible. And Wilson is poster boy #1 for a selfish attitude that destroys the emotional fabric of what a team is supposed to be.

these players weren't graded as UDFAs...They weren't reaches...

Not absolving Tannebaum and the scouts but once a guy is drafted it doesn't mean he's a finished NFL product/player...EVERY player coming into the NFL needs to be developed, which is the responsibility of the coaching staff..
