What should be a fantastic action packed game of emotion and on the edge drama has been reduced to 20 minutes over 3.5 hours of mostly standing around.

If the Jets were 3 and 1 or 4 and 0 this would still be unwatchable and a terrible ripoff.
Winny, a lot of these posters here have NEVER seen a real football game. I agree with you here. The overall NFL product is nearly viewer unfriendly. To make matters worse, the contract was just signed last year. I don't see how it can get much better.

The owners have gotten the 'Madden' bug too

I guess as long as the org keeps making money they really don't have an incentive to clean house. I know my letter probably went into the round file but with the money me and my friends have spent on seats over the last 35+ years I could have had a very nice high end car. Woody is above all a business person and most business people hold people accountable. Last year Schotty paid the price but since that aspect has gone and we still have the same problems there must be another common denominator. I just hope we dont have to wait a long long time to find out where the blame lies

Do you mean "real" in the sense that decades ago, football was better when it was not dictated by TV timeouts?

that certainly plays a factor imo.
The SF fans were in the lower levels more then the uppers, so that has nothing to do with LI vs NJ.

PSL Owners are selling their seats to opposing fans. Its beyond awful, takes away our home field advantage, and is a result of an overpriced stadium that isnt luxurious or even above average.

many on this board have said that alot of psl owners arent real fans they only bought in to own tickets and possibly make a profit.

it dawned on me this morning i made a vey bad investment in the 4 tix and psls that i have.

They don't show many replays do they? Why don't they?

At home you get to see every play a couple of times..

I feel VERY fortunate to have been able to sell my PSLs for face value before this season started.

In order to meet the demands of raising ticket prices I had to share the cost of season tickets with two other Jet fans. I believed with a new stadium and new coaching staff that the Jets would soon be able to give long suffering Jet fans a chance at winning it all. We all however have been scammed.

Rather than talk about this from an emotional standpoint let me approach this from a business standpoint. You're only as good as the product that they you put on the field to "entertain" the fans. What we witnesses yesterday was not entertainment but an embarrassment. So as a "customer" of this franchise where do I go for a refund or to get satisfaction ? You dare charge me for seat licenses and Thank God I was able to afford it but where do I go and what do I do when you consistently put a sub-par product on the field ?

When I saw the New York media portray the Jets as clowns I became angry and the Jets as an organization should have also been very angry because their rivals are winning Super Bowls while Rex Ryan and company continue to flounder. Woody as a business person knows about performance and the performance to date is further indications that the virus effecting this organization has not been eradicated.

I urge this organization to take whatever steps are necessary to give New York and Jet fans what they deserve after more than 40 years of selling out seats to see really bad teams: a winner. It's not always the most popular person who gets things done and this organization needs to clean house to clearly show Jet fans that the bottom line is winning not just talking about winning.

    Thank you
Can I ask you a question, how come some members of this board (full-fledged, longtime die hard Jets Fans) keep calling you a Pats fans? Are you pulling a fast one on us?

No doubt. TV took over for good in the 70's. natural grass was replaced by 'Astro Turf'. The players used to wear their own numbers. Now, the players have designated numbers.

The economic socialization for the owners ensures that they are profitable regardless of where the finish in the standings. TV ratings mean everything. Look at the ratings when the sports channels mention anything about the Jets/Tebow.

The board here gets over loaded with clatter about certain announcers and sportscasters. The NFL weekly shows are on every channel now. Some are even repeated.

The booths are so crowded with former players, they are stepping all over each other to out opine the last guy who said something. Way over done.

I think that Howard Cosell mentioned something decades ago about the jocks taking over the booths. Said to state here, he was right

I gave up my season tickets after the 2007 season and the Jets ticket office still calls & emails me asking if I'd like to come back.

Stop showing up to games is the first step, but giving up your season tickets or not buying single game tickets will irk the owner the most. I had Jets season tix for years and I don't consider myself any less of a fan now as I did then. Plus, with HD TVs, Redzone, etc...the home experience is much better than live anyway.

I'm not saying to stop being a Jets fan. I'll be a die-hard forever, but why put $ into a team that obviously doesn't give a crap about how you feel about this team, especially on a day like today.

You sent that with that many typos?

I hate the Pats especially Bellechek and Kraft but I do respect Brady who is a very good QB.

More SOJF crying about how the media portrays our franchise. Your other points are valid, but I don't understand why Jets fans get so whiney because the media pokes fun at the Jets. That's what the media does. The media was killing Coughlin last year when the GIants were 7-7. Now everyone acts like the Giants have gone 13-3 for 6 straight years. Get a grip people.

You have a good point. I guess I was thinking that Rex needs to motivate a squad that is down and out now. I mean how many players are going to give 100% knowing that there time with the Jets maybe coming to an end.
