Remaining Schedule: How many more wins?

    New York Jets Remaining Schedule

    10/08 Texans vs Jets ‎-8:30
    10/14 Colts vs Jets-1:00
    10/21 Jets vs Patriots ‎-4:25
    10/28 Dolphins vs Jets‎-1:00
    11/11 Jets vs Seahawks‎-4:05
    11/18 Jets vs Rams‎-1:00
    11/22 Patriots vs Jets‎-8:20
    12/02 Cardinals vs Jets -1:00
    12/09 Jets vs Jaguars ‎-1:00
    12/17 Jets vs Titans ‎-8:30
    12/23 Chargers vs Jets‎-8:20
    12/30 Jets vs Bills ‎-1:00

Looking at those teams, after having watched what we watched yesterday... I seriously cannot be confident in ANY more wins. Is it possible that a Revis/Santonio free Jets team goes 2-14? Sadly, I do believe it is possible. Funny how I looked at the last 5 games as gimmies at the beginning of the year. It is very hard to see this team finishing with better than an 8-8 record, and a top 5 draft pick is looking more and more realistic. Every year there is always a team that surprises you with how poorly they did, and I guess this year it is might be New Orleans and the Jets. Yes we are 2-2, but we are a shadow of the team that destroyed Buffalo in game 1.

when they lost Revis for the year... 7-9 seemed like a very likely.....

    with holmes out..

would tend to think that 6-10 would be realistic...

Yeah - 5-11, 6-10 seems like the right area. This defense is going to be dead by the bye week. This offense can't stay on the field.

This team winning on the road?? Not in it's current state - don't see that at all. So - a few more home wins is a realistic bet.

I thought they would win 3 out of 4 NFC west games
Now we'll be lucky to beat STL only

    6-10 / 7-9 - hopefully a top 10 pick so we can get a QB

if we want a new QB, we need a regime change

Are you two(Madcroation and jetfan51) kidding me?

With the way Mark is playing(provided he isn't finally yanked for good this year), 2-14 or 3-13 is more likely.

No better than 4-12, maybe wins vs Rams and Colts. With the team in a mess, the remaining games are now difficult.

I see 3 more wins only. Colts, Jags, Miami

    5-11

Based on the incompetence of our FO and coaching staff, i could easily see this spiraling out of control and not winning another game. 2-14 is a strong possibility.

More likely, 6-10 based on games that we could (not should, b/c all games are losable) realistically win.

Santonio Holmes (foot) has already been ruled out for the Week 5 game against the Texans.
Coach Rex Ryan confirmed that X-rays came back negative, but the Jets still don't have a firm diagnosis here. He ruled out damage to the Achilles' tendon before adding "it's hard to say" if Holmes has a Lisfranc injury. Regardless, the Jets are resigned to a multi-week injury here. A foot specialist will have the final word.

    10/08 Texans vs Jets ‎-8:30 L
10/14 Colts vs Jets-1:00 W (maybe but could easily lose this one too)
    10/21 Jets vs Patriots ‎-4:25 L
    10/28 Dolphins vs Jets‎-1:00 L
    11/11 Jets vs Seahawks‎-4:05 L
    11/18 Jets vs Rams‎-1:00 L
    11/22 Patriots vs Jets‎-8:20 L
    12/02 Cardinals vs Jets -1:00 L
12/09 Jets vs Jaguars ‎-1:00 W (At Jax could lose this one too)
    12/17 Jets vs Titans ‎-8:30 L
    12/23 Chargers vs Jets‎-8:20 L
    12/30 Jets vs Bills ‎-1:00 L

Unless some miracle happens, I see 4-12 tops. This team has high school caliber offensive talent in the NFL which does not bode well for the rest of this season.

I thought 6-10 at the beginning of the season. Now after a quarter of the season done and the injuries sustained, I think 4-12 or 5-11 max.

    12-0 run

Keller comes back, this new CB guy is a steal, Hill comes back and flashes his week one talent....plus, the CS is now forced to count on the real play-makers on this team like Kerely and Powell.

    Can't you just smell it!!!!

    9-7.

too much overreaction to a bad loss to an elite team. we'll bounce back.

I don't think 3 to 4 more wins is completely out of question... but hear what you are saying...

you don't get pushed around on both sides of the ball and win many games......

Honestly, look at that schedule. Factor in that AZ barely beat Miami and that New England has been all over the map.

This team should legitimately end up between 8-8 and 11-5.

I'm not even an optimist. The parity in the league is tight and not in a good way. There's very little consistency.

As bad as yesterday was, it is still just one loss.

With that said, this team needs to seriously look to take a major step back and rebuild following this year. There's a lot of guys eating up too much cap space for too little production.

Can probably eke our way to 7 wins just by having a friendly schedule littered with terrible QBs. Some games upcoming look harder now than when schedule was released. Cards, Rams, and even Phins again. Basically any team with a solid D is going to give our team all sorts of trouble.

This is where I am. I had originally had them at a minimum of 10 wins but too many injuries.
2 Mia, 2 Buff, Tenn, Jax, Ind, StL, one of Sea or Ariz

Let's not forget that SD is a choke team.

5 more wins, if we are lucky.

    7-9 season.

Seems the way things are going right now, that would be a welcomed result...even though I'd rather have a top 5 draft pick right now.
