@BrianCoz: Source said the Jets are not sure if Holmes will miss entire season, but they expect him to miss most of it. Still waiting on word from docs
The jewish chick w/ the diary?Liz frank injury ??
so we had 3 active rb's and 1 on the ps, then our top 2 wr are hurt and one likely for awhile so we sign 2 rb's in the past week and cut an active wr and ps wr
Have I just missed the tweet reporting that John Connor has been cut ? Or is that just wishful thinking ?
@JasonColeYahoo: Jets WR S. Holmes has a lisfranc injury to his left foot. Still unclear if it's broken, but is 99% likely out for the season.
Pretty much what I thought. But based on this he can still have a small fracture. There is speculation that Santonio Holmes may have a deep injury to the midfoot -- something called a Lisfranc injury. Lisfranc injuries are named after the arch joints involved in the midfoot (the Lisfranc joint) -- a complex interlocking articulation on nine bones with strong ligamentous attachments.
The challenge with Lisfranc injuries is that a negative X-ray does not truly indicate whether or not a small deep fracture is present -- typically the case in subtle injuries. The purpose of the MRI, in Santonio Holmes' case, is to look for a ligamentous injury with or without a small fracture (hidden from X-rays), and to check the alignment of the midfoot joints.
I think he is done for season.
