PFF begs to differ and they are pretty neutral with that stuff. For the record both Wilk and Ellis had crap games against the 9ers according to PFF as well, first bad game for them both. So it's not like they are blindly in love with the two.

Pouha hasn't been the same thus far this year. I don't know if they rushed him back or what but he just hasnt had the same effectiveness. What really sucks is that theres nothing to indicate that they can fix these issues anytime soon.

I will never forget that year when the Raiders used 18 or 19 straight running plays to score on their opening drive. It was like watching an overmatched High School defense. Most humiliating display of Jet defense in recent memory. That and the Kotite game, also against the Raiders, when they used some undrafted rookie named Vance Joseph to cover Tim Brown during a nationally televised night game. Ah, the memories...

it's not just pouha. rex has convinced much of the jets fanbase that the defense is elite, but the reality is that it's not. this year the guys are a year older and a year slower and they don't play the younger guys and most other teams do. it's reflective of a hc who wants to win now and would prefer to play slower veterans over more athletic guys who don't know the schemes as well. they think they can get back to the playoffs by playing the slower guys and it just doesn't work anymore.

in the end, the nfl is too much about the qb and the jets have a bottom 5 qb.
