We had 1 proven NFL caliber receiver going into the year. Now we have none.

    We signed a fullback today.

We released a wide receiver to make room for him.

who FN cares. you really think whatever JAG WR we release or sign is going to make a difference? the season is over. just get me some good draft picks next year and write this one off as a loss

Didnt Eli win the Super Bowl with the same injury...and i know he doesnt move like a wr but we can deff still rest him then play later in games....but if hes done this year hes gone as a JET and we are looking for a veteran for next year or this year into next and Drafting another wr....looks like Holmes played his last game as a JET....But im glad we got berry on D he was playing pretty well in Detroit befor the personal stuff...hes going to help on th e corner we just need to play the best 11 guys and scheme it that way.

Huge loss if true......People can cry all they want about how he's overpaid but he's still our best playmaker on offense and its not even close

Doesn't put up big stats because of circumstances more so than talent......

Our QB is way too inaccurate and gunshy to truly take advantage of our receivers' talents, it's just the truth ....When we actually have throw down the field to Holmes this season good things have happened much more than not (Drawing plenty of flags, making big catches in Miami, etc)

Oh well, season is screwed now with our 2 most important players gone on both sides of the ball

It'll give guys like Chaz and Hill chances to see what they can do against NFL defenses.

With the roster we entered the season with and with our two best skill players out for the year in week 5, it's a rebuilding year. We've got a lot of young and hungry guys all over the depth chart, put them in. No need to call up Plaxico or trade another ****ing draft pick.

The Hilliard pick up was because Conner has a hamstring injury and will probably miss some time. Not to mention Hilliard has a skillset that Sparano was hoping to have in Josh Baker, Hilliard can play, he can also play some H-back. Conner should still be on notice if Hilliard is able to catch on.

The Turner move was because he was a JAG WR who dropped a critical 3rd down pass with the only pass thrown to him.

It probably means Hill returns this week, and the Jets will make another move at WR once they put Holmes on IR.

Relax, and stop being a knee jerk reaction dullard, there are plenty on this board already.

Holmes is a selfish a$$. This is the reason the Steelers shipped him out. Maybe he will fail a drug test while rehabbing and we will be done with him.

You cannot have a WR always undermining the qb, no matter how bad the qb might be. Do you see Fitzgerald doing that crap? He has had nothing but garbage throwing to hi, for the last three years. Players like Holmes are exactly what is wrong with this team.

What a soothing response. It's dazzling how you always have the inside scoop and know exactly what the organization is thinking and doing Double Ray.

Players like Holmes and the recently signed Aaron Berry.

"But the Lions terminated Berry's contract in July after his second arrest of the summer in Pennsylvania. Berry, who is from Harrisburg, Pa., was arrested in that area June 23 on suspicion of DUI, failure to stop and render aid from an accident and other counts.

In July, Berry was taken into custody on three charges of simple assault, and Harrisburg Police said there "was a weapon allegedly brandished during the incident." Berry entered the NFL's substance abuse program after the second arrest, and said in a statement at the time that he was "embarrassed" by his actions. He was suspended three games by the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy."

You might want to take some of your own advice and do more of this instead of constantly littering the board with your nonsense.

We cut Turner and right now only have 3 healthy WRs. I'm going to take a guess there is some kind of trade or signing in the works.

Locking in the Pats at 14 wins is pure comedy and homerism, especially right now, with so much up in the air with the team on offense at WR, with Welker's inevitable holdout, Mankins injury, Brady aging, BGJE's loss, and a defense that was at the bottom of the league last year.

They had a good run last year

Teams will be better prepared this year against the Patriots two TE's.
