What would he do if he wasn't being 'handcuffed' by the GM and owner?

One of the funniest threads in a while.

This must be hard on a coach like Rex, A players coach who talks up his team and the players on it. He put himself out there in the open hoping and expecting that the guys that he spoke glowingly of and the guys he signed off on big $$ contracts would give the effort that he feels he does.

Now he is out there with a team that has played 3 bad games and has lost 2 of its biggest weapons. he said that this was his best team and now they apre playing sub par, that leaves him as the cause of the fall.

I think tebow is being forced down his throat. I think some members of his staff are not his choice. I also feel that there are players he would love to cut but can't because of money.

Thank you for the definition to the word I did NOT intend on using. Now I feel REJECTED by my peers who are missing the meaning and DEJECTED at the same time.

This one is a better one. Rex is the definition of hubris.

    hubris or hybris (ˈhjuːbrɪs)

    — n
    1. pride or arrogance
    2. (in Greek tragedy) an excess of ambition, pride, etc, ultimately causing the transgressor's ruin
