Tannenbaum is just a money guy. Being as much, he probably relies too heavily on Bradway (the former GM) for drafting and "talent" choices. With few exceptions, I'm sure most GMs rely heavily on their player personnel departments. Not giving Mr. T a pass, because if he doesn't start there, he is definitely a big part of this problem.
Outside of Revi$ and Harris, what talent have the Jets produced prior to Rex/Tannenbaum? Since Parcells not much.
This scouting department is the real culprit as the reason why the Jets are in the shape their in.
Can u be certain that the players drafted are the players recommended by the scouts. Rex has a strong personality and after all, he's the HC. We know about Coples and Connor but how many others did this HC pick or the HC before him.
Do you guys honestly think that a money guy like Tannenbaum actually evaluates talent on his own and ignores the scouting department?
Rex made a remark once that he only gets 1 draft pick a year. And remember even Parcells complaining about picking groceries w/ the Pats? I think a coaches input comes AFTER the player department makes their accessments within the limits set by the owner.
How successful were the Jets when Bradway was GM?
I'm not giving Rex or T a pass because the buck stops with them first. Just looking at a bigger picture.
