I believe Phil Lodolt is unexplicably taking up a roster spot

The defense doesn't look that bad - at least if Rex played all the young guys and sat the worn-out vets.

The offense, however, is just remarkable for its lack of talent at the skill positions. And with Keller and Hill out for the Houston game, it's almost laughable.

Currently there is not one impact player on either side of the ball that opposing coaches have to alter schemes or game plans for.

    Sad.

Seriously just bring in Plax at this point. He's played for us before and has somewhat of a chemistry with Mark. I'd rather Plax start than Jason f***ing Hill.

I think we made a mistake with Plax last year and game film would show that. He did nothing inside the 20's and was only an asset in the red zone. With that said, i am not sure how he could be worse than gates or Jason Hill. Same with a guy like Ocho and TO.

We have nothing to lose at this point and if we don't add some offensive weapons we might as well let *gulp* tebow start.

I am not a cap expert but did a quick calculation and at the moment we have over $25M (or ~20%) of our cap money not on the 53 (dead money, practice squad, IR, Revis, Holmes)

    Salary cap limit 130,071,600
    Jets current total 124,907,260
    Estimated space 6,068,498

    Dead Money: 3,365,335
    Practive Squad: 760,975
    Injured Reserver: 563,760
    Revis: 11,503,621
    Holmes: 9,250,000

    Total: 25,443,691
    Percent: 20%

This offense is going to be excruciatingly painful to watch the rest of the season

    Well.
I think it's safe to say that most teams would be in that position if their top two players were on IR. Not the lack of talent, but the Holmes/Revis pair count for 16% of the total cap. If that's the issue, then fine. But This can happen when the two most talented players on a team get hurt.
