    Skin Tags and Acanthosis Nigricans

I have them. Seeking medical advise from great minds in Hampur.

Can I just cut them off?

Exacto knife, razor blade? Dental floss asphyxiation?

    Which method?

Go to a dermatologist to make sure what you have is benign.

Holy chit, I have one of those too and was thinking razor blade.

    Choices:

    1. Go to primary doctor, get a referral for a dermatoligist, see him in 6 weeks, then he makes me another appointment to remove it. Pay probably $150 in deductible OR

    2. Hack it off.

I also see commercials for some new product. I am 100 percent it won't work.

If you decide to hack it off, please document with pics. Thanks.

Can't, they will probably tell me I have skin cancer. Questionable spots on back from years of sun exposure.

Pics or gtfo, but my biggest one of concern is between thighs in groin area approximately the size and shape of a small testicle. Gets caught in shorts and rubs. Annoying, albeit sexy.

This additional info changes my response.

    Go to a doctor numbskull.

I was a lifeguard and person who took every opportunity in the 70s and 80s to get tan. That said, I've had a few skin lesions removed (I also thought they were scary), with all but one being benign. The other was just barely considered a squamous cell carcinoma.

Doctor removed the lesion in his office and the only other treatment was a topical cream. Most "spots" are easily treatable even if the are cancerous. Problems arise as you do nothing year after year. Just for the peace of mind, spend the money to get checked out by a good dermatologist. Unlike a colonoscopy, it's non invasive and, relatively, painless. You probably have nothing.

This is like mine, minus pubes

Google images shows the following for removal:

    Not too difficult, right?

My doc burned mine off with what appeared to be a soldering iron.

Once I got by the smell of burning flesh it wasn't so bad.

Should be a fairly cheap procedure...cash even.

Take this quarter, go downtown, and have a rat gnaw that thing off your groin area!

lol. First I thought it was a hairy steech. Turns out is just a closed/healed transsexual inverted penis turned vagina/wound. Or possibly an armpit
