Win lose or draw....I'm with Girardi. AROD is hitting poorly... Singles hitter, no zing, no confidence.

Especially against RHP. He was just helpless up there.

Girardi has an obligation to give the team a chance and Alex wasn't even putting the ball in play.

    Where is everybody?

The stadium looks about 1/3 full right now.

Bench Swisher, not A Rod. At least with A Rod you can say he has hit in October before. Guy just ruined the whole rally. Get the hell outta town after this season you overrated bum

He is going down as one of the worst postseason performers in the history of the sport

You are mistaken. He hit last week.

Why are they pitching to McClouth?

Great job by Buck making them review it. Stalling Sabathia here.

My mistake, didn't see the 3 at bats he had.

They were only the two most important games of the year, Sean

He was 1 for 3. Granderson is 2 for his last 563, with 900 strikeouts

Grandy finally running into one. Why couldn't he do that last night?

Hopefully the bats start to wake up a little. Can't expect out pitchers to do this against Detroit.

CC was huge. Saved the bullpen tonight. Robertson and Soriano are both rested for tomorrow. Huge game. Need to win the non-Verlander games.

First of all, CC is an animal. What a performance. You can tell he loves this stage. Great win.

I'm so happy to see Granderson turn it around. They really, really need his bat to produce. That 3rd run was HUGE.

And I'm totally with you on Swisher. He just doesn't produce in October. Start Ichiro in RF, Ibanez in LF. Swish's body of work speaks for itself -- and it's not a small sample size -- he is not a playoff hitter.
