His lack of carries is due to lack of production. How many times can you run start a drive 2nd and 10 before you give up on the run?

I still say its Sparanos new gap blocking scheme. Greene has always been, including at Iowa, primarily in a zone blocking scheme.

Smith made some nice tackles Monday night, he's not a bad #3 safety just never should've been a starter.

Curious why we have Bush as the Smith backup. Allen is much closer to the type of player Smith is.

Perhaps that is PART of the problem, but Greene has been the worst RB in the league, when it comes to breaking tackles, for two years. He never breaks a tackle. No blocking scheme will change that.

For good or bad we are stuck with Sanchez because there is no way TEbow would be better. But we are not stuck with Greene and could easily replace him with Powell or Mcknight and it can't get worse.

in my opinion, i think it is because we basically have 2 strong safeties out there. i think Bush resembles more of a coverage guy, more of a free safety.

Oh I didn't mean to imply its THE problem. Just that it could play into it.

@CBSJets: David Harris will play on Sunday. "I'm fine," he said in the locker room today. #Jets

@CBSJets: Cb Antonio Cromartie working again with WR coach Sanjay Lal.

@CBSJets: WR Clyde Gates made brief appearance at practice. Left arm in a sling. He has a shoulder injury.

@CBSJets: Rex Ryan expects Nick Mangold (ankle) to be able to play Sunday. Po'uha (back), Gates (shoulder) are very iffy. #Jets

Apparently Harris pulled a hammy. What is the deal with all the hammy pulls this season? Jets didn't have this many last season and that was coming out of the lockout.

@ConorTOrr: Westhoff on the onside kick: "That was a jets call" said they had planned a surprise onside following a big play. #jets #nyj

@ConorTOrr: Westhoff said his thinking on onsides was the same Houston players who just got "smacked" for a 100-yard return were coming back out #nyj

@ConorTOrr: Mangold is not even in uniform so probably no practice at all today. Sione has been doing individuals at least. #jets #nyj

    THIS IS EXACTLY THE ISSUE.

Its as if he doesnt care about his lack of production because he knows that, no matter what, rex will play him because he is one of 'rex's guys'

Jesus, this guy needs a fire lit under his ass.

I dont know. ZBS normally favors a 'one cut' back. (IE thomas jones)

Greene is a 0 cut back. No moves. No vision. He cant even laterally slide when running into his hole. Rather, he just runs into the back of his linemen.

    Jets RapidReports ‏@CBSJets
Mike Westhoff said of Antonio Cromartie. "He had incredible skills." Said, "If it was winter, he'd be a player in the NBA." #Jets

Tony Sparano: "[Mark Sanchez's] decision making has not been the issue." #Jets

Tony Sparano on the wildcat: "Right now Tim's (Tebow) averaging 4.1 yards a carry." Feels they're having success with the play. #Jets

Tony Sparano said he days of 1-RB system are over. Different skill sets helpful and need to be able to use them in similar ways too. #Jets

Mike Pettine said Antonio Cromartie has totally taken over leadership role of DBs. Studies more than anyone, holds others accountable.

Pettine also said it was Antonio Cromartie's idea for DBs to run onto the field as a group before the MNF game against the Texans. #Jets

    Conor Orr ‏@ConorTOrr
Sparano said he looks at running backs the same way he did at "the other place" or Miami. Said days of 1 running back isn't happening #nyj

Sparano notes that Tebow is averaging more than 4 yards per carry, which he can categorize as a success. #jets #nyj

Pettine said he thought something happened to secondary when they all came out at once on Sunday in intros. Cromartie's idea. #jets #nyj
