Because some of us are not going to pound our chest like our HC does after beating a team in total rebuild at home when there are bigger issues that this entire organization must over come.

The JETS beat an inferior team. To start a thread in CAPS about how great our RB (who had played disgusting in every game up until today) seems a bit silly.

+1 and how about the effort on ST? Kept the pressure off our run game with great punting and timely gadgets. The Colts may be a "tomato can"; but Hagler tuned up plenty of tomato cans prior to a serious showdown.

He looked like a new man out there. His spins, cuts, and acceleration were all on another level from what we've seen of him.
He also didn't look like he was slow to get up after every play, which often is the case. Had a spring in his step.

    Greene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He had a definite spring in his step today!!!!!! Give the guy some f678ing credit!!! He showed up, and so did the whole offensive line. He showed stuff that we never saw in him before. He was able to make better decisions when to make a cut back, etc... We never saw those spin moves that he did a few times, where he made tacklers miss. The guy needed to carry the team late in the game because we lost both of our RB to injuries, and he kept battering the other team with each run.
So please appreciate the guy for the effort that he made today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Jets Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To Greene's defense, he has been up against some of the better defenses in the league the first through the first 5 games. All games count.

True but that just shows that Shonn Greene ISN'T an Elite RB.

I like 98% of this board wanted Greene benched before this game, but he did a great job of taken advantage of a weak run defense. He ran with a purpose and showed some wiggle today.

160 yards, 3 TDs, some good moves.....ok,not the Texans defense or 49'ers, but turned in a great game against a team the Jets should beat and beat soundly, and the did. Enjoy the win and feel good on Monday, instead of going to work pissed like the last two weeks. Take momentum into next week and play division game against the Pats, then division game against the fish. Go into bye week 5 - 3.

Quoted for truth. That should shut up the trolls. If they are in touch with reality that is.

Hope this performance by the Jets is the start of a winning stretch and more positive things to come.

    J-E-T-S!! JETS!! JETS!! JETS!!

    I LOVE it!!

Dig the Hagler reference cause we needed southpaw Tebow and some timely switchhitting to keep the game rolling.

Saying Greene had a good game is not a bad thing. Being excited that our team won is not foolish. No one is talking superbowl or even playoffs. Just a foolish post in my opinion, you are a better poster than this cop.

I actually thought Greene was lousy today, again. He had HUGE holes to run through. That is a credit to the O-Line. I am near certain that Greene has made fewer guys miss than any starting RB in the league. He has no wiggle whatsoever. There were times he was running free into the secondary with only the safety to beat but he just lowers his shoulder. A good RB will make a move and take it the house.

Shonn looked the war machine of old today, but he had lanes and we ran with a bit more variety today (draws, tosses) too. Bottom line, we have three pro bowlers on that line, as Austin Howard learns his role we should see better run performance no matter who is back there.

i don't think Greene sucks. Emmitt Smith would suck if he played behind the oline performances of the past few weeks.

Well I mean really what did you expect?

He was averaging 43 yards per game at 2.9 per clip.

Anyone questioning greene this season is well within reason. The fact of the matter is that with exception to this week greene has not just sucked but has sucked big time.

The fact that he almost doubled his rushing total from the past 5 weeks in one game is telling. It is not as if during those 5 weeks he saw limited time and this was his first time starting. His long run prior to this week is 14 yards...

I hope he keeps it up and proves me wrong but until then he sucks.
