So, I'm curious to see what people have to say to this question. Although, I'm a realist and believe its unlikely to happen, even though I will be cheering my ass of for the jets,
What if the Jets beat the Patriots this Sunday?
My answer: 1) the media finally turns on the Jets and puts a positive spin on things.
2) Sanchez will remain QB for the rest of the season (barring any injury).
3) The Jets win the division, riding a ground and pound attack, top notch special teams, and solid play calling on both sides of the ball.
Have fun!

If the Jets beat the Patriots on Sunday, they will probably lose to the Dolphins the following week.....LOL
4) Jets then proceed to lay an egg vs. Miami.
If Sanchez plays lights out it's because the Pats D is really bad. Therefore it doesn't count. I can see that being the rallying call. Personally I just want him to play well, heck I called him out for playing poorly against good teams. So I am not going to add a caveat if he torches the Pats in a win.
"The Jets caught some breaks"
"The Pats had an off day"
Nothing will change in the media's position on either team from this one game. They just don't know how to do anything different.
Run for your lives because the end of the world is here
Rex will spend the next week filling the media with sound bites only to lose the next three games...![]()
He happens to be right though. You can't win the Division in Sept/Oct, but you certainly can lose it.
The season will be less than half over. If the Jets win on Sunday, they still have the capacity to go 6-10 just as easily as 11-5/10-6.
And if they lose on Sunday, they still can go 10-6. The media will tell you otherwise, but its just one game.
I'll wear my Jets hat on Monday.
