The season will be less than half over. If the Jets win on Sunday, they still have the capacity to go 6-10 just as easily as 11-5/10-6.

And if they lose on Sunday, they still can go 10-6. The media will tell you otherwise, but its just one game.
It's a big game though... in terms of importance

    1) division
    2) conference
    3) non-conference

The Pats aren't taking this game lightly.

    Exactly.

The Jets biggest benefit by winning Sunday would be their 3-0 record in the division, not their overall 4-3 record.

I suppose the alternative to this thread would be "What if the Jets lose to the Patriot on Sunday?"

    1) Probably nothing out of the ordinary. I mean they are underdogs, and no one expects them to win.
    2) Rex kisses Brady's & Belichick's respective assess.

Of course they aren't. They're coming off a loss and they hate the Jets. More so than the Jets hate them, unfortunately.

Its a division game that you obviously want to win. Isn't dispositive of anything though. It won't define either teams' fortunes.
