What does it say about Rex if we are applauding him for being able to cut one of "his guys". Do we expect that little of him?

Conner should have been replaced in March. Same for Hunter and E. Smith. Two down, one to go. I know Smith has played hurt for us and showed heart but he has to be the next symbolic release.

did he ever play another down after getting annihilated in pass protection in the Texans game?

They should have had Dowtin on the 53 instead of this slug the whole year.
Dowtins the kind of tweener LB that you need when the Pats go big so you have someone that can stick to those TEs. (Basically a supersized safety)

What a great draft 2010 turned out to be.

It will be interesting to see if Dowtin dresses on Sunday.

Not too surprising. Hilliard is better in almost every facet.
Hilliard knowing Sparanos running schemes is a godsend to this team.
I wouldn't be surprised if Hilliard makes some nice plays sneaking out of the backfield.
Those fullbacks dumpoffs can go a long way with a team playing man defense.

Well if we want speed on defense dowtin is the guy for that.

Not sure who would not dress in that case, unless we are dressing grimes for powell and dowtin for mcknight and just going with 2 RBs and Hilliard

    UGH!
Wonder what else was there when Rex went all goofy with that pick?

Great pick by Rex and CO. SMH.

Can't help but think of the heart wrenching scene in Terminator 2 when you g John Connor has to say goodbye to Arnold, and watch him be submerged into the hot magma.

    That would be my guess.

This guy was available. Taken in the 6th when Rex & Tanny were fooling around with late picks like they are throwaways.
No wonder the Steelers stay relevant.
