That looked like a fumble to me, and the ref called it dead so quickly. No reason why that play should have been called dead so fast. Amazes me how many favorable calls Seattle has gotten this year.

Looks like they have become one of the NFL's favorites.

I am starting to respect the way Wisconsin used him. What you see tonite is exactly what he looked like at NC State for 3 years. REALLY GOOD but something wasn't quite right.

That was just a weirdly bad pass from Smith - weak toss right to the other team. Almost like he changed his mind as he was throwing it.

The Seahawks make a good story but they are in a tough spot going forward. If they lose tonight they'll be 0-3 in their division and down a game on the 1st spot. They also clearly look a little gassed from Sunday.

Wondering? It is not very magical.

Uh - I am not arguing the facts friend-o. I just find it surprising that the Pats played that poorly with so little time left in the game. It was not a fluke loss like vs the Cardinals.

Great defense vs a horrible secondary. That's how they are beating the Pats.

They should put the Siamese-catch lingerie refs in just for kicks and let them finish the game.

Oh look at that...the refs couldn't find a foul to call on the 49ers on the flag.

    WTF is that?

They refuse the 2 points safety and football? Is Harbaugh betting on the spread or something?

Harbaugh declines the penalty that would give a safety when Seahawks fail to pick up 4th down with 40 seconds left. Smart move, but bad for people who bet on 49ers, 7.5 point spread.

    Lol.

Yeah, very weird. And I was not aware you can conditionally decline a penalty.

    Strange game.

Had the Seahawks +7.5. Its like I got a reprieve from the Governor.

Hey, if you can get Sanchez to the red zone, he'll get points on the board.

The biggest problem with Smith is that he's horrid in scoring territory. He's so bad that the 49ers hardly ever ask him to throw it down there anymore. It's the area of the field where his conservative approach cripples his game. The 9ers were the 3rd worst red zone team in the league last year. Coming into tonight's game, Smith had only thrown 9 passes in the red zone all year. Even his TD tonight came on a checkdown where the receiver made a nice play to get into the endzone. The 2 TDs Sanchez threw last week are throws Smith doesn't attempt.

Same here. Picked the 9ers straight up and Seattle on the spread, so I can't complain.

    Called it...

    Harbaugh's call shakes betting world

"I have never seen that," tweeted longtime Las Vegas bookmaker Jay Kornegay, who now runs the race and sports book at the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. "Crazy to see that with the cover on the line."

By declining the safety, the 49ers ended up winning 13-6. Those extra two points left off the board hurt everyone betting on the 49ers to cover a 7- to 8-point spread. Those who took the Seahawks cheered in disbelief at Las Vegas sports books.

John Avello, head of the race and sports book for the Wynn in Las Vegas, said the reaction to Harbaugh taking points off the board was even crazier than it was in Week 3, when the replacement refs ruled that the Seahawks' Golden Tate scored a touchdown, giving Seattle the win against the Green Bay Packers, and all who bet on them the win against the spread.

The worldwide swing in bets for that game, including online and overseas sports books, was estimated at as little as $150 million and as much as $1 billion.

    As little as 150 million!

Real refs or fake refs, this game still gets rigged. I guess Harbaugh had the under on this one.
