Cast no eye upon me; I am a hideous creature:

    I "re-finished" my then girlfriends 1959 tele.

I wish I had special pliers to yank the regret from my chest.

Her father is STILL hot at me; and he's probably dead.

What part of "Hand-Carried by Team of Sherpas" goes over your head?

I took an eBay business course; now I know to screw people on shipping. IT'S SO EASY!

I just gasped. Without question, the Goldtop is my favorite fantasy guitar. Maybe I'd want it to be a few years earlier, but those early 70s-era models were great instruments.

    EDIT:

We can only imagine how many lucky souls have stumbled upon a Mom, wife or Grandma who was "looking to get rid of that old guitar in the attic/garage my son, husband, or grandson no longer plays".

mine was bought from a guy who had an uncle who needed cash fast. one of those uncles that lived in the basement. i went over to the house and i had to wait upstairs for hours for the uncle to wake up. the guitar was literally under the bed and the guy refused to wake his uncle. I didn't want to rock the boat.
Wouldn't shock me if the uncle got in a shady fashion.

I'm gonna start tricking old people into letting me scour their attics/basements/closets in order to find such vintage pieces.

Back in the 70s, two of my friends wound up with "virtually perfect" Strats that were bought from Italian Dads who had purchased them new years earlier and just wanted to get them out of the house. No exaggeration, this scenario happened a lot.

I'd like to re-do that rage comic on the bottom of the page with you nailing the chick while looking under the bed for a 57 strat.

<southie> How many guitar cases do you have - DO NOT OPEN UNTIL I GET THERE! - How many?

    <vic> "Oh no - SEVERAL - all dark and menacing - what's a Gibson?"

<s> Okay, next question - some people want to tell evil spirits a thing or two did you want me to release them INSIDE your home or outside where it's safe

    <> OUTSIDE! OUTSIDE!

put those cases by the front door...you're lucky I called...
