Ill be in Manhatten on sunday does anyone know of a good Jets bar or Just a good bar to watch the game in general?
I was going to post this exact same thread. I found an old thread in the link below that had some good suggestions. I'm going to be in the city in December and am also looking for a place to watch a game. I plan on taking my dad with me, and would love to find a spot with a lot of Jets fans, beer and good atmosphere. If anyone has any additional suggestions that would be great. Locations doesn't really matter yet. It looks like a few of the places listed in the link below are no longer around. Thanks.
It really depends on what you're looking for and what part if the city you want to be in. I would say East Village and UES would be the 2 most fun areas to be in on Sundays during games, everybody in jerseys.
If you're looking for a shoulder-to-shoulder party:
Stumble Inn: UES
Jack Dempsey's: UES
Brother Jimmys: Any (UES, Midtown, Union Sq). I like Union Sq one best.
13th Step - East Village
If you're looking for a party with higher-end food and more attractive girls and people who don't really care about the games:
The Ainsworth (either of them)
Bounce Sporting Club (no audio on games, DJ playing dance music)
If you just want somewhere you can go and hang out with a handful of other football fans, that's not too crazy, I would recommend (in order):
-Village Tavern (W. Village. Bedford & Leroy. Always a fun crowd on Sundays)
-Penny Farthing (East Village. 13th and 3rd. Won't be a complete mess but will have lots of football fans)
-Standings (East Village, size of a shoe-box, awesome selection of micro-brews, beer only. Iconic East Village sports bar)
-Blondies (UES, Best wings in city. Probably super-crowded on Sundays)
-1849 (Greenwich Village, Good place to watch game tho decor is weird. Awesome wings and drink specials)
-Bleecker St. Bar (Never too crowded, will have all the games)
-Pour George (W. 8th Street, good food, all games will be on, also won't be too crowded)
