Thread: Not Going for the Juggler !

Not Going for the Juggler !

When we recovered the fumble we had a chance to win the game. Instead we played for a tie!!!

We run Tebow up the middle on first down, Joe up the middle again on second down and 1 pass on 3rd down.

We played scared at the end when it counted most.

The coaching was to blame and Sparano is the biggest joke of all.

Another thread, another rant, another fail

The game was already tied. At that point, the Jets must not turn the ball over, they are shuffling two injured RB's in and out of the line-up, and are playing with a lot of youth at WR, at that point, the team is playing to win, a FG or a TD. If anybody don't think they weren't trying to score a TD, then they really don't have a clue.

If the Jets were trying to score a TD they throw the ball on first or second down instead of waiting till 3rd down. Running up the middle with an injured RB twice is not trying to score a TD. It was a gutless attempt at making the Pats use two of their time outs that is all. Sanchez actually did the right thing by taking the sack, but if they were really trying to put the ball in the end zone, they play action on first down and throw it into the end zone.

yep with 2 minutes and what 3 seconds left.. the clock was going to be stopped anyway might as well tried throwing on the first down. a play action pass would have been a good call there

I think most coaches would have ran on first down. The win is there if you dont turn the ball over.
I dont agree with the tebow run though. How about a rb that can break one with the Pats D playing run all the way.

Exactly. I couldn't believe Herm was calling plays at the end.
