To me, we just need a playmaker - it could be WR, TE or RB. There is a wide-range of fits available so I hope there is something the Jets can do in FA next season; I really don't want to trust another rookie.

You cant draft a WR and immediately expect them to produce like a #1.

You also can not magically obtain a #1 receiver in the middle of the season.

    This thread is dumb.

Our receivers are young. With one more big time receiver, I think they might be set.

No. What it means is that he's a rookie WR who had to block more than catch in College needs a LOT more coaching than we initially thought. He will be fine.

That being said, you are correct that we need a polished, gun of a WR. Just not going to happen this season.

And Kerley looks the goods, for sure. He's been outstanding.

These are drops that get in a young receivers head!
That was a HUGE drop! Not just any DROP! A drop vs a team that we should have beaten & probably would have had he held on to the ball.

I hope he gets over it & I'm sure with more practice/off season & some success he will but don't be fooled into thinking this won't have a slight effect in the short term.

He effed up man, terribly. They don't get much easier than this, this is the NFL son.
He tried to run b4 he had the ball.

I put a post up earlier that I was afraid this might happen with Hill & it came to fruition right before my eyes. Right now in his early career he's got bad hands, not a great trait for a pro WR.

WR is the least of our issues. Hill has had some dropsies, but he's getting wide open. He should've had a TD catch if Sanchez didn't suck. Kerley has been a pleasant surprise. With Tone back next year we have a really legit WR corps.

RB and TE are where we're missing playmakers.

    "proves"?
    Hardly.
    He's a rook.
    Rookies make mistakes.
    He'll get much better.

You really need to stop with the absurdly over-extreme posts. Makes you look really dumb. Now that may be something you're accustomed to, but just some friendly advice here.

Just another one to add to Nike/GMC's already spectacular resume.

You can sign Welker next season if the Patriots cheap out and let him walk. I shudder at the thought...

what we need are OGs who can block...take a look at the tape and see how badly Slauson and Moore were beaten at critical times

when the game in on the line a qb needs a go to guy. a guy who will get open and do whatever he needs to do to catch the ball.

in the hill situation yesterday he was wide open and the throw was perfect he dropped the ball. not the first and not his last.

this wr group was a big experiment going into the season holmes included. those who think holmes is a true #1 really?
