Remarkable he made it this long.

Makes Tanny look like Jerry Reese.

This guy is a great example that even on his worst day, Tanny is not that horrible.

Deangelo williams and beason have crippling contracts. Their oline isnt great, and if you want to talk about team not drafting weapons, look no further then carolina.

Im sure their fans are THRILLED to see this guy gone.

You have no idea, the suffering I have felt under this GM.

    John Fox, avenged.

He's been with the Panthers a FULL decade, out of which only 3 winning seasons.

Gave Delhomme a 30+ million dollar contract extension, then cut him the next season.
Fired Fox who won with Tebow his first year in Denver! Brought in Rivera.
Has 2 running backs worth 89 million dollars. Deangelo had 2 snaps yesterday!
Cut Muhammad and has never found a replacement for him to be a number 2 to Steve Smith.

It goes on and on...compared to him Tannenbaum is a genius.

Two and Tebow. Yes and I live in Carolina. I like Tebow because I followed Fox though. Gotta pull for your home team. Remember, Panthers didn't have a football team prior to 1995. A lot of Panthers fans have at least one other team.

80% of Carolina is made up of Cowboys, Redskins and Steelers fans.

OK. Yea most were Falcon fans before the Panthers came to town. I went to Clemson, I remember very well when the Panthers came to town. It was my Sr. at Clemson when they played their first season at Death Valley.

I wish that was the case. I can stand Falcon fans. It's the Cowboys fans that are the worst. Which is why it couldn't be more fitting Hurney got fired after losing to that sorry excuse for an "elite" team.

This goes out to the people that say a gm can't be fired while the hc remains on staff.

This is certainly a case to keep Rex and ditch tanny depending on the rest of the year.

Yes, but it's still quite likely Rivera will be gone too at the end of the year if things don't turn around. We'll see.

I honestly don't see how firing Hurney will help this season, same for Tanny. I'm just happy he won't have a hand in the draft next year and any more trades and the franchise will finally have a chance moving forward.

I just hope the Panthers stop hiring no-names, pony up the cash, and get someone with some experience.

    Apparently so.

What a troll. No wonder he hangs out here with us. The Panthers are, perhaps, as bad as we are. He probably likes the colors of our uniforms or something...

I wonder if he was one of those modified jerseys that are half one team and half another.

    Good Lord...

Yes I have a thing for teams with puke worthy uniforms. Jets green and Panthers teal. Considering adding the Browns to my repertoire as well
