=And it sure as hell doesnít mean ball-and-chaining Sanchez at a time when they should have let him go for the jugular when Devin McCourty coughed up that kickoff at the New England 18.
You either trust your quarterback or you donít. Bringing Tim Tebow into the game for a first-down run, calling on Joe McKnight for a second-down run against an opponent you never beat kicking field goals sends the message to your team that you do not trust the quarterback.
Rex doesn't need to be fired he need some better offensive minds around him..
His affinity for the ground and pound has always puzzled me. He is a D genius who runs a complex system and claims he knows how to "stop the run" regardless of the players he has to line up on D. If it's so easy to stop the run, why would you center your offense on ground and pound? Plus, being a genius on D would make me think he would appreciate a brainy OC, you know the kind of OC that runs an O he has difficulty defending. The fact that Rex insists on running the type of Offense he himself would say he could easily defend is truly an enigma.
