Oh this thread makes me feel SO much better.

The one good thing we have going for us is that the hot team in the first half isn't always the one that finishes. Remember when Denver went something like 6-0 and then crapped the bed? I know, they have Manning now, but it always seems like there are some unknown commodities that finish strong and take the cheese.

Wouldn't it have been faster to just type "the Jets aren't making the playoffs. We'll go 8-8."?

I still like the Texans against any NFC team.

I guess we shouldn't have even played that playoffs game vs. the Pats in 2010 after they destroyed us 48-3 a few weeks earlier huh?

They gave that one to the pats by default that year, right?

Little bit different since this wasn't a divisional matchup which is generally a toss up. Let's also be sure to remember that many recent champions came out of the NFC. There's a power-shift, and it's gone towards the NFC. You'd be foolish to not realize that.

It was 45-3, and that has nothing to do with anything. It's evident the NFC has become the dominant conference, at least this season. The Texans may be the "class" of the AFC, but it's a weak AFC.

    WOOSH.

I didn't say that the NFC isn't as a whole much much stronger than the AFC this year. I agree with that. Please tell me what total conference strength has to do when come the Superbowl, it will be one team vs one team?

That still doesn't change my premise that I give the Texans more than a fair chance against any NFC competitor. One game doesn't change my opinion.

I'm not saying they don't have a shot. Of course they do. I'm saying the teams in the NFC are much better than the AFC. And, considering the class of the AFC got dey ass kicked on their own field by a struggling and injured Packers team, it doesn't bode well for anyone in the AFC.

We need to just go full WWE and have an elimination chamber bowl for the world heavyweight championship. Make it happen, Roger McMahon!

I'm hoping for 8-8 at this point.

Miami 10-6? No so fast, my friend. They have two games against NE and Buffalo left -- and they will lose at least 2 of those 4 games. They have Seattle, SF and the Jets. There are no gimme wins with a rookie QB.

I also think Baltimore will struggle to reach 10 wins. They have some tough games left -- Pittsburgh (x2), Denver, Giants and road games against Cincy and Washington and San Diego.
