It was like a combination of McGahee and Tyrone Prothro.

Just a shame, Lattimore is a damn fine player.

Terrible injury. Heart goes out to that guy, hopefully he can make a Comeback next year, but his future just took a terrible turn.

A client of mine who's a die-hard Alabama fan told me a couple of years ago that the only RB in the country better than Trent Richardson was Marcus Lattimore.

    Good luck to you Marcus.

That was awful, not sure I've seen any worse with his leg flopping around like that.

Haven't seen any reports but it seems that it was a closed fracture or dislocation and that is a good thing. I don't want to speculate but you hope there is no damage to blood vessels, veins or arteries bc that can cost him his leg.

I am hoping that it looks worse than it is. He is a great talent and I hope he can recover. Guys like McGahee and Leon have come back. Hope he does as well.

Brutal injury. Good luck to him.

I agree, I cant remember a real injury like that. The closest I can think of was when Mack broke his leg in the movie The Program.

Very gruesome. Don't watch if you're squeamish.

Best wishes for a quick recovery.

#Gamecocks: Marcus Lattimore has a broken femur, chipped knee cap, and all four knee ligaments are torn.

I think that's it for him. He needs a new knee. Sad. His freshman year was awesome. He's destined for "What if...?" discussions.

Even with today's state of medicine, his playing career is over. Walking without a limp for the rest of his life is the best this kid can ever hope for now. Damn shame.
