We trade too many picks away top often.

Hill went to a school where THEY DO NOT THROW THE BALL.
    What does anyone expect.
BTW, cpa, took in Clemson/NC State. Both have multiple WRs better than Hill et al. Both have a better QB than Sanchez.

Clemson has two guys at WR in Peak and Bryant that would be starting at almost any other school, they barely get on the field right now.

A total disgrace in both games. NC State with 48? It was not well received by the fans. The DC makes well over $1mill.
    Morgantown was laughable as well.

I have been there, late 80s when Major Harris was there. Went to a Penn State / WVU game. It was the year WVU went undefeated and played Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl. With about 40 seconds left in the game WVU stopped Penn State on 4th down and everyone ran on the field before time ran out.

Later that night they were burning couches in the streets...LOL

Venables (D coordinator) makes 900K and Chad Morris (O coordinator) makes 1.3 million, the highest paid assistant in college football. Dabo actually took a $300K pay cut this year to pay for both coaches.

    God this is so depressing.....

There is little more SOJF than writing off a 21 year old Wideout in the middle of his rookie year who only had 49 catches in college.

If the Jets ever aquire the next Peyton Manning, our collective SOJF mentallity will demand he be benched and cut before he finishes his first game, much less his first season.

Patience. It's not like the Fan Favorite Edwards is lighting up the scoreboard in Seattle. And unlike Edwards, Hill has more ahead than behind at this point.

He clearly needs hands work. Thats not enough to abandon hope yet. He's no Ghost.

Not sure anyone wants to abandon him at this point, just concerned he is dropping some easy passes.

sanchez or whoever the qb is will abandon him soon enough if he keeps dropping passes.

i feel based on his play so far he wasnt worth what we gave up for him.

No ball thrown by "Off the Mark" Sanchez is an "easy ball".

Look back at at least some of those drops. They're thrown high and behind a streaking Hill going across the field. Thats no gimmie. Or they're thrown too long, or too short, or just typical off-the-mark passes.

Sure, a few hit Hill right in the hands, and there is no excuse for that...other than being a 21 year old rookie thrust into a spotlight you're not really ready for because you were a blocking WR in a run-first system in college.

I agree, some of the drops look pathetic. He'll learn. If he doesn't.....wow, another Ghost-like wasted talent.

How long will it take, though?

How long is it before we just GIVE UP on this kid and realize that he would never pan out the way we want him to?

So far, aside from some flashes here and there, it's been mostly a whole lot of nothing from him.

And yeah....Mark's off-target throws do NOT help *but* Receivers in general make the difficult catches seem routine 'cause they USE...THEIR...HANDS to make those plays, not their bodies.

Hill HAS TO LEARN how to catch with his Hands.....

    Probably longer than 10 games.

Probably more than 10 games would be appropriate.

Par for the rookie NFL WR course.

He clearly needs work, thats not debatable.

That does not mean he will not come around and be a productive #1 or #2 NFL WR.

He might, or he might not. Point is, after 10 games, we cannot know as yet.
