I don't think the jets were using good judgement in drafting running backs in the 4th round and expect them to excell in the running game.powell is mediocre and mcknight is great in the return game.but as a dependable runner in the run game.he shows very little both as a runner and a blocker. Iialways felt that the jets should have gone the safety route in the fourth and fifth rounds.I think that they would have gotten more for the money if they had gone that route.great running backs are usually drafted in the first round. take the steelers for an example.they always have had luck with their safety picks
The only question I have in our RB picks is why we drafted Powell I still do not get it. Much better RBs where on the board. Not that they are blowing it up but Jamie Harper, Jacquizz Rodgers, and Evan Royster where all better option IMO. To be fair with McKnight he was at least one of the better backs of that class.
