This really just shows how clueless Ryan is in identifying talent.

I don't know what's worse: his inability to field a decent offense, or his inability to identify talent.

ARen't these two traits important for a head coach?

Look over the rosters the past 4 years! This is the most talented team he has had.

The problem is just talent doesnt win games.

Rex hasnt even coached a legitimate defense in quite some time now.
While it may not paint a complete picture of the defense, give the scores from last years games a looksy. He has been giving up 24-30+ points a game going back to last season.

Let's not forget his inability to develop talent, as every player on the roster other than Wilkerson (and maybe Wilson) has regressed since 2010.

agreed, Actually since we beat NE in the playoffs a few years ago, we have generally sucked on offense and defense. Now special teams are falling apart!

I believe we need a different direction. Coach, GM, QB.

But what Rex said here was crap and trust me he knew it. There is noway he truly believed it.

Rex also said Vernon Gholston was looking good. It's what he does, it's how he motivates. It doesn't work and is totally childish but there is noway Rex really thought this was his most talented team.

Wrong!! Our 2nd run at the championship game was Rex's most talented team.

Rex motivates like he's coaching a soccer team full of 7 year olds... Everyone is good! Everyone is great! Making strides... Everyone gets a participation trophy....

Absolutely a damning statement. Even if it's hyperbole, how does this motivate your players to work harder if they think the coach thinks they're all super talented?

He could go Belichcick.... "We need to coach and play better..." nuff said...

Don't say how well Sanchez played this past weekend and read garbage stats.

Rex's inability to recognize what's staring him right in the face has been his undoing. His tendency to tell you exactly what he believed used to be one of the things I liked about him. But it's clear that what he believes is often dead wrong and detrimental to the team.

If true, he should just resign after the season if they do not make the playoffs.

    He never said that

"Overall, in my opinion, I think this has a chance to be the best team that I've had since I've been the coach here," said Ryan.

I saw that talent and said 8-8 at best... So who's more qualified at identifying talent??? He won't even come close to having a 12 win team.

Of course i realize a coach bad mouthing his players is not a good thing, but we both agree he CAN NOT actually believe the gibberish he has been spewing......

So why in the heck does he keep with it? Its just lame? Does he truly believe Sanchez is going to turn things around and put the team in a position to win games?

    Seriously?

    WHY???????
