Wow. Very good player. Checkered past. RT @TBBuccaneers: The Buccaneers have traded CB Aqib Talib to the New England Patriots."

The guy has skills but he's absolutely crazy... I've come to the opinion that guys specifically like Talib hurt a team more than they help a team.

The current Pats CBs have been hurting the team even further. Pats finally recognize their big fault, and made a big move to fix it.

I'd take a crazy Aqib Talib over a sane Kyle Arrington any day of the week.

    Definitely not a Mangini guy.

Talib has had several conduct related issues since his NFL career started. At the NFL rookie symposium in July 2008, Talib was involved in a fistfight with fellow Buccaneers rookie Cory Boyd.[10] On August 20, 2009, Talib allegedly battered a taxi driver,[11] and he was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol and booked into the Pinellas County jail, charged with resisting arrest without violence and simple battery.[12] In March 2011, police in Garland, Texas issued a felony warrant for Talib for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after accusing him of firing a gun at his sister's boyfriend.[13] He was later released on $25,000 bond. Talib was indicted on the charge in May 2011.[14] On June 18, 2012 the charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence and character concerns with the accuser.[15]

Guy's coming off a suspension for steroids. This could go either way, Randy Moss or Albert Haynesworth.

But it's about time they actually addressed their secondary.

There's no reason to criticize the pats for dropping a bad DB and bringing in a competent one in their current state. Absolutely no down side.

Buccaneers announced Talib and a 2013 7th-round pick to the Patriots for a 2013 4th-round pick.

Guy's a cancer who got into a fist fight with his own teammate. He's a cancer and a druggie. This makes the Patriots worse and shows that BB is is in a fit of desperation to win before his QB declines any more than he already has.

Even if it doesn't work out, it's not like anyone's going to pick up Sterling Moore... the Pats could sign him again and the secondary would be no worse.

So you're saying he'll fight for something? That alone is more than the Pats secondary has done all year.
